I got to make french fries for a friend when my friend was hungry. I was not shy that I only had potatoes to offer and he was not ungrateful in the slightest to my smallest of kind gestures. So as small and sometimes unnoticeable of an event as this one taking place, it is none the less, something that went well today.
But as always, thank you for your concern in our lives, it’s provided so much light for us. Goodnight, we’ll talk again tomorrow.
Today I saw my partner return to his positive self. Matt has been working away outside all day, and no longer at the sluggish pace he reached over the last few weeks. He is smiling and going full speed in completing his work. Which is so much more beneficial to the way we function as a family, as a whole. I don’t know how my life would look without him, and I’m thankful to have him in my life.
So, a lot went well today, and so many places to lay thanks it’s beaming out the seams of our home today.
Remembering a dear moment with a friend
Seven years ago I got to a meeting a little early, still not quite used to going everywhere by myself, when I noticed the husband of someone taking part in the meeting sitting by himself, and joined him. We talked a little about painting, a hobby we both had. During the meeting he gently moved his hand over and held mine for a few minutes. I didn’t see him again, as he suddenly passed away later that week. A treasured moment.
I too recall Roger Colwill with such fondness. He had a way of seeing the best in others and the potential for good in situations he encountered.
The first time I volunteered at my daughter’s school was when they were making stone soup for the entire school as I stumbled into the kitchen to see a few teachers aids who did not know how to cook a soup of that type. So I stayed all day and made the whole school an edible soup. It was a really satisfying experience
New life for old tennis balls
Love the thoughtfulness. A bag of extra balls for dog owners to draw from at the beach.
Everytime I go to Vancouver, I’m drawn to Kits. Here’s a wonderful discovery. It’s a dog beach that was originally donated to the city.
