Circles…

This is a special invitation to a rare event, a genuine conversation that is built on, and reinforces the gifts of asking authentic questions and the art of listening. There are many dimensions to this experience. Over the course of 90 minutes we will be gathering fresh perspectives and asking insightful questions. When done well like this, it makes for an exceptional opportunity, a wow activity, moments to be treasured.

Martin Golder, a friend, shared an experience with me a while ago that illustrates the social banter compared to active engagement. (I have facilitated the Green Drinks he refers to since 2007. )

Here’s how this tightly facilitated circle works: Working in small groups, individuals are encouraged to share an idea, an issue, project, or a moment that stood out in their experience. We each have zillions of them! Others in the circle then get to ask questions about that ‘moment’. After the circle is done, a new person is given the opportunity to share. We provide tools to support great questions.

Here’s what people have said about similar workshops I’ve offered across Canada.
