Super helpful library clerk at UVic who looked up the call numbers for six books that Loni needed in her work. She even told me what floor they would be on, and approximate location on the floor.
Our son and a friend of ours teamed up to connect our HDMI cable from our MAC to the TV display at Fernwood Inn. We were using it to display our Slide Show to about 50 people in the audience. Without this team, we would have been hooped.
Super grateful!
Loni told me about a toque she spotted and loved at the Bay Mayfair. When I got there, the last one had just been purchased.
The next day we tried the Bay Centre. When we walked in to the department, I spotted a stylish women standing at the counter, looking like a patient customer. Turned out to be a sales clerk! So professional and caring. She heard what we were looking for and went right to them. Perfect! She was charming and warm, and appreciated my feedback about her level of care.
I was wanting to set up a more secure two-step verification for my Vancity banking app using DUO which I already have on my phone.I called the tech line at Vancity about 7:45pm. A tech at UVic told me I could use DUO which I already use for school applications. I contacted Vancity’s helpline at night , and the agent helped me through the process. She uses DUO on her own phone, so to help me walk through the process, she deleted the app herself, and then took me step-by-step through the process. I was so touched by her level of care and attention. I asked her ‘Who can I talk to about your wonderful care and support?’
She said my heartfelt comments ‘made my week’ and passed my call on to her supervisor.
Hung out with our granddaughter at the children’s section of the Oak Bay library.. Slowly others joined us building things, putting on puppet shows at their ‘stage’, complete with a curtain. A classmate from her pre-school joined us.. What a dynamic community oasis!
Love hearing of a hard working student’s growth and recognition:
“As a graduate student in Political Science, Yunhui has gone above and beyond in peer mentoring in the department. As one graduate student noted, “though far outside of her required work as a Teaching Assistant and her incredibly busy schedule as a PhD student, Yunhui took the initiative to welcome me, not only into the department but into being a Teaching Assistant…”
A fellow student’s appreciation.
