Oven mysteries
Loni was baking some pumpkins and this caused a lot of steam in the oven. For the first time ever this warning came up on our oven’s panel, indicating the meat probe will no longer work. We’ve never used a meat probe. We decided to turn off the oven from the breaker, and let it air out for 8 hours. The next morning, the warning was gone, and the oven was fully operational.
A first in my experience. At the municipal yard that includes bins for garden waste, I looked beside me to to see a woman running this machine. Perhaps I leave a sheltered life but this was a first view for me.
Fostering community
t the Tesla supercharger I had the pups in my arms, not having a leash, and was taking them to a gravel area to check out. On returning to my car a woman approached me about our pups. She wanted to show them to her son a few stalls away. It turned into a lovely conversation about their adopting a dog from Mexico. and the changing level of connection in the Tesla community. It was a delightful time with them.
Sometimes we make a momentary connection that’s more than just a smiling glance that invites a brief conversation. I enjoyed a connection just like this yesterday while passing a bus stop. She and I broke an imaginary barrier that welcomed one of us to say, “hi, oh, I love your glasses, where did you get them? I’m having some sort of difficulty with my eyes but don’t know how to find a doctor.” “Oh, OK, I’ll try that … thanks very much for your suggestion.” We parted with smiles 🙂 How Good that brief moment felt! I smiled all the way home and I’m delighted to share this smile that has come back to my face as I remember this brief connection 🙂
The end of a tradition for this home
Christmas Eve.. We looked up a map for Christmas lights.. and went within ten minutes of home. This was a remarkable one.. synced with music from an FM radio signal they posted on their lawn. It’s their last season.
Calm, peaceful Shawnigan Lake this beautiful morning! I feel so blessed now!
To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, NOW IS GOD, big with blessings 😇
