I’m consistently impressed with the energy/ tone of the cashiers at Wholesale Club. They really seem to like working on the team. They show care for customers and other staff. This fellow gives great service and livens it up for his colleagues as well. It feels far from ‘automatic’ conversational exchanges.
Getting positive results from civic parking enforcement crew
Last Thursday morning was my first day back to work after a month away. I was in a rush to pay $10 for my parking fees with my phone. When I got a notification from the bank. I thought I had paid, but it actually didn’t work and just put the money on my Park Victoria account.
Later I got a parking ticket. I sent an email with pictures to explain why I missed the payment hoping that they would withdraw the ticket.
Today I got the reply that they adjusted the ticket to $10, which represents the payment for parking at 7409 for 4 hours.
Felt great that this request worked!
Discovering new pathways
Today I took the 14th bus on Douglas St and got off the bus at Cedar Hill Cross Rd. I saved 10 minutes.
Sometimes bus drivers can be helpful guides along the way
I downloaded Umo transit app a bus driver told me about. and paid the ticket for my bus ride home with Umo today. I can use Umo to take a bus to any place I want to go without any one’s help. Independence!
About three weeks ago a Tesla mobile mechanic came to repair our camera system on our car. After that we needed to recalibrate the cameras by driving on a highway. When I did that I still couldn’t activate the autopilot.I tried to phone Tesla support in California but couldn’t get through. I revisited the messages on our Tesla app where I’d shared with Tesla about this case, added a new message about this current challenge, and they soon wrote back, after remotely viewing our car’s setting they told me what to do. The next time I tried out ‘Autopilot’ it worked.
Certainly a new way to take care of your car.
A number of years ago I was teaching English in a high school in the east side of Vancouver in what was considered a rough area.
The students were generally happy and cooperative but there was one big fellow who sat in the back corner and didn’t participate at all.
In the Spring I was leaving because I was pregnant and towards the end when I was very large, and the hallways were very crowded. I became aware that this “tough” fellow was actually guarding and guiding me through the busy hallways between classes. He was just “there”. We never spoke but I was very grateful for his presence.
You never know where love and protection and pure goodness may come from!!
