Went for a walk with some friends after dinner. Dick shared a great story of effecting change in his neighbourhood when they lived in a small town in the BC Interior.
What people do in ‘retirement’
I saw down at a ‘pub night’ at a friend’s home, listening to the stories people shared about their trips and pastimes. When I asked about some specifics about the projects one woman was alluding to, she shared this wonderful story of international initiative in Zanzibar.
The end of an era
A neighbour with a truck helped me take out 1990’s rear projection tv to a recycling centre. I learned a lot about the neighbourhood from our chat, as well as making space in our home.
This bedside table was no longer needed when we helped a friend clear out their basement. I put it in UsedVictoria and a student ( in her BMW) who just moved to Victoria came and bought it.
Love seeing Loni reading the books she loves with students who also gravitate and soak up these classic stories. It’s a wonderful cottage industry.
I was in a new building and didn’t have the address of a business I needed to drop something off at. I asked this busy letter carrier for the location of the business. She graciously walked me a bit closer and gave me directions and the address. She is a lovely spirit.
