Kel Kelly, Is a very to earth type of individual, he
got into a tragic accident when he was at the age of
nineteen, He works as a mediator for twenty years, groups
and businesses to solve disputes, he is interested into people working
and living together as one. He has lead into politics, music, and having
a relaxed life, and I found it amazing how you are currently building your
house in India when you actually live in Comox Valley.
Kel’s near death experience really stood out to me. The fact that he took that experience and used it to change his out look on life at the age of 19, made me think about how lucky I am in my life, and how I should focus on the positives. The other topic Kel discussed that I connected with was his desire to spend time with his family and his hopes of re-connecting with those members of his family that he lost touch with.
Kel stood out because he had a great, long pony tail that was white; he is cool and doesn’t really care what people think. He lives in India part of the year and his hobbies became his life. I was inspired to hear that he had been run over when he was 19 and made a miraculous recovery. Everyday was a gift after that and he has made the choice to be happy; I have had a hard life and still have daily challenges to deal with my life. I am thankful to have heard that ‘what is fun’ changes as you get older. To look for what you can do to help others is an idea I will try! Kel says this will help you lose track of your own problems.
I was surprised when kel told me that he had given money to a person in the village that he built his house in to fix his house up and the person took the money and put it to the drug trade I was surprised how Kel dealt with it because I don’t think I would be able to be so calm about it.
i thought it was interesting when you told us that you plant natural plants in your garden
Kel’s message to help others as a way of seeing our own problems diminish was great advice; helping others can ultimately make YOU feel better. Thanks Kel!
