I met Connie back in 2016 when she was living in a retirement home, having just been published in a book with several pieces of her writing in it. She was on fire with the smallest things in life as well. I recorded some of these moments.
I learned today that she passed on in July 2018. I last saw her in the Spring of this year cared for in a private hospital. Having those stories is a What’s Gone Well moment today.
A creative friend that started Loni on this project last June on Georgian Bay, suggested that Loni use embroidery thread on her almost completed quilt. She looked through her sewing box and found she had quite a few packages of it. She has no awareness of where it came from.
