Went up Mt Tolmie on a very chilly night and turned on the fireplace in our Tesla. It was magical! So cozy and warm and scenic with the lights of the city below us.

Driving downtown, we saw a striking looking pedestrian. I parked and went to talk to him at a bus stop for a few minutes, and gave him my card. He texted me the next day, and we ended up recording some of his experiences. In this one he talks about his remarkable military service and a novel approach in his ‘5 man section’ in which they were able to ‘do things their way’ and be particularly successful and give all the credit to their commanding officer.
Appreciate the helpful professionals I’ve met through the purchase in this condo block in Vancouver. Realtors, mortgage broker, lawyers..Asking and quickly receiving good referrals was a big step. One lawyer was particularly generous in the process. Never to be forgotten. Turned out that I know his wife, but I had not connected the dots.
Our yoga studio hosted a holiday seasonal social….This gave me an opportunity to talk with other students who normally we may see but don’t chat with. Keith and I have had a few words before… Having him share some of his professional story in this interview was a highlight…
It started out as gift for our adult son… He loved the idea ..of a shared experience. The captain really went all out to find whales in ‘off season’ The three hour tour was extended by 45 minutes… and we found lots of humpbacks and killers whales from the cooperation of other ships who shared their observations with our captain. There was a great, appreciative spirit on the boat… Loved that the weather held off.. ( the next day rained a lot).
