What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.

I had a good week. I said good because school is over, otherwise this week was the best!! My Auntie bought me a soccer ball for my birthday. It was a early birthday present.
On Canada day my sister, Mom and I went to Canada place. There were so many things there. We got to go inside a navy truck.
We went on a sea bus to North Vancouver. They were celebrating Canada day too.
My sister and I were climbing bridges that were 15 cm thick. It was fun. But my mom’s legs were shaking because those bridges can lead you very high up in the air.
P.S. Its Marco BYE-BYE
A very special year! A wonderful group of students combined with some great field trips, our commitment to being active and our dedication to following the Canucks through all their ups….and….downs made this year very memorable indeed! Maybe next year Vancouver!
I loved learning! I was fortunate to be invited to participate in this blog and in the process I learned how to add images, set up a youtube account, post videos and to ask for help from my students, they were amazing! The process of reviewing each week, reflecting on what went well and posting those comments to share with others, created a strong sense of community in our classroom.
I also learned about elephants, whales, Vancouver’s 125th birthday and the waterways of British Columbia. In our Characters writing, we went to Paris, Disneyland AND we even saw elephants painting in Thailand! We went whale watching in Tofino and we learned how to make a difference by following my daughter’s experience in a cleft palette clinic in Cambodia.
Throughout the year we have learned to use discipline and focus so that we achieve. Now we know that we WILL succeed in life because we BELIEVE! It’s been a great school year!
Ms. Newton, you have been a great teacher and I will never forget how great you were throughout the two years I have been in your class. You are the best teacher ever!
-Leon
Leon.. you have been a key part of helping everyone learn how to use the WGWT tools. I hope you stay using the system.
thank YOU Leon for a spectacular year! I am so grateful to have learned so much from you. You have helped me learn how to use my new toy, my iphone…… you taught me how to start a youtube account, take videos and post them on WGW….. I have had too much fun this year!! It has truly made me realize how much fun it is to learn something new, thanks again!! Have a great summer!!
This year was so much fun! This year we did clay. We made a whale for father’s day and we painted it with light blue and then we dark blue acrylic paint.
We also wrote 3 songs. The are called It’s A Brand New Day, It’s A Brand New Game and It’s Been A Great School Year.
BYE-BYE EVEYRYONE!!
This year was spectacular!! We ran lots of laps. I ran 188 laps which is 75 km!
Our class got first place in running. In novels we read Mice at Centre Ice, Mouse and the Motorcycle and Geronimo Stilton. My favourite novel was the Geronimo Stilton series.
We went to the aquarium at Vancouver. There we learned about animals habitats and things they depend on. Like a sea star it needs regeneration. We also watched Munscha Mia. I am sad because its almost the last day of school
This was a great school year!
This year was so much fun. We went on a field trip to the aquarium and I saw a couple of belugas and a scuba diver. I also saw an anaconda and the anaconda was asleep in its cave. It even was bigger than me times 2. There were different types of snakes and there were lizards, monkeys, scorpions, bugs and 2 caimans. The caimans were a little taller than me. But what amazed me was their trick to kill and eat animals. They can float on the water dead still and they look like a log and they open their mouth and chomp the animals dead. There was a whip tailed scorpion on the side of its cage. There was a pocket monkey and it was smaller then my hand. When you walk down the hall there is a tank full of piranhas. In the tank there are bones of animals.
We also went to a play, we saw Munscha Mia. We went with Mrs. Kiefl’s class and we went in the same school bus. I saw a lamborghini. It was orange and went right beside us.
We also went to a museum and saw a blue whale skeleton! It was so big!!
It was a great school year!
This school year was terrific! First of all I didn’t know at the start of the year that we would play so much hockey, I was surprised!
We went on lots of field trips. We went to South Arm, Burnaby Village, Munscha Mia and others too.
We also ran laps. I ran 50 kilometers but last year I got 75 kilometers. At least I got pretty good. Next year I will run more, way more.
In hockey I got over 50 goals. Other people got more in my class.
I can’t wait until next year.
