What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.

It will be so much fun! 🙂
I’m so lucky. I have a wonderful group of kids to work with and I enjoy going back to school after the weekend. It continues to amaze me how excited they are to share what they have experienced during the week. Last week it was sgraffito, going to Disneyland, learning time and hip hop dance. Most of us would be too tired to sit down and write about it all but what I notice is they come alive when they do it.
We start by brainstorming. Then we go into the computer lab and enter our comments or we write them in our journals. They get so involved that they don’t want to stop. They have even asked to stay in at recess and keep writing!
There is always something new to learn even for me and I am excited to discover what it will be this week.
Why does every week go by so fast? Well this week was so much fun! We used acrylic paint over our oil pastel elephants. We are going to scratch them with a toothpick when they are dry. It is called scraffito.
We also wrote in our Characters Book. We went to Disneyland! After doing some research on the computer, I learned that Splash Mountain is really wet and Disneyland opened on July 21, 1955! Walt Disney built it and he hopes it is the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!
This week we are doing hip hop. Today we are doing the dance in front of the whole school. I’m really nervous. Today we have pizza lunch I can’t wait to eat hot yummy pizza 🙂
What a great week!
