What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
Our class likes being active.We like going for runs and we love playing hockey. I am really good at hockey so I score lots of goals. Sometimes when I shoot It go really high!
We have been writing about our characters. In the beginning we drew our character and then we cut it out. After we put clothes on it. When people were done they were playing with their characters!
This year we went on two field trips this year was so much fun! We went to the aquarium and saw a lot of fish. I also saw a Caiman. It was just staying there.I saw a dissected salmon.We saw an octopus just sticking to the wall. I also saw a starfish with only four points.
We went to the burnaby Village museum and saw lots really old things. We saw a black smith burning metal and twisting it. She made us a metal cane for us too!
We had an assembly this year. We did a smart board lesson about Canada and we did an elephant poem too.
In Halloween we got to were our costumes to school. Our class play bingo and won lots of treats.
We learned about mice this year. I found out a lot of interesting facts about mice.
This year we learned about elephants this year too! there are two kinds of elephants.
This year we learned about Canada. We learned about the provinces,territories,and capital cities. The capital of Canada is Ottawa.
This year has been the greatest!!

I really like hockey. I know who Canucks are playing today! But I won’t tell you.i hope Vancouver wins against the other team we are so active!! In our assembly we showed the school and some parents how to use the smart board. We also did a elephant poem my line was “the mud was really quicksand and then there were six”.
Near Halloween (or on Halloween) Ms.Newton gave us some pumpkin seeds. There were a lot of pumpkin seeds. But they ran out in a few days. But they were yummy! We learned where on a map they live. We also learned about mice. mice are nocturnal. and we have been learning about Canada.
I have been really active. I played basketball and hockey. My dad posted a comment and it was his first time ever posting a comment on conversation works.
The class are so active because they do yoga and do 2 laps around the track, It’s to much fun.And on Wednesday we play hockey .Also on Thursday we have gym with Mr MacKay, now we are learning how to play Basketball!
In class we do a lot of art and we just finished an elephant collage because we are learning about Elephants. We also made a book so we can put all are facts in it. On Thursday we write in are characters book just last last week we wrote about an elephant safari !

I’m having a great year! I am trilled to be in a such a great class. I was in the class last year and i am having a great time sharing the the the things I learned last year to the new colleages and so far it is going great!
Also our parents are coming to school for our student led conference and we are sharing the things we have done at school. I bet they will be shocked about how many fun things we are doing at school like using all the art mediums. We have used chalk pastels, water colour pencil crayons, paint and we can’t forget CLAY! And so much more! I am looking forward to showing our parents the work we have done at school, but no fun “no fun” just kidding, school is way too much fun!
On Hallowe’en everyone was as scary as a crowd of monster,ghouls and whitchs.By the way, when my sister woke up on hallowe’en her hair was like a after Einstein finished one of his projects!
We also get to do math (WE GET TO DO MATH). My teacher says you have to learn x1 x2,x3,x4 ,x5,x 6, x7, x8, x9 and x10. Grade fours get to go do higher numbers. Every time when math starts, it already reacess but who cares about it? Lets skip it! Math is way to my fun”!
Our class also went to the burnaby villiage musuem! I was super surprised how much stillness the caiman can be! Maybe he is waiting for the right time to strike pray! Hes the sixe of a mini croc, by croc i mean crocadile or a aligator.An aligator is different because he a more faster and stronger bite then the crocadile.
When Chirstmas past, it was January.That was the month of our class’s assembly! First we practiced on the smart board. The subject was Canada. We had to use our nukle to move the provinces and territorryes into the right section of Canada. Some time the smart board went willy nilly. It wouldn’t listen to use when we had to write Ottawa which is the capital of Canada. Once when it was time for our assembly everything went perfect(as i espected). Well now its Feburary!
I CAN’T WAIT UNTILL PERENT CONFRENCE! CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE LOOK ON THEIR FACE!

WOW! I’m having a great year. I’ve made lots of new friends and I’ve learned to play the guitar. All the class mates have been helping me out since I moved to Canada from England.

I’m having a great year! I met a new student named James he likes to play hockey,basketball and soccer and he was born from England and he is a good friend. I went to the Aquarium I saw a Caiman and it was really still and I saw paranas and there were bones on the bottom of the tank and the bones were from its food. I saw dolphins and one swam to me.I saw belugas at the aquarium and my hole class got to eat lunch and me. A girl came to clean the tank and the baby was watching the girl cleaning the tank.I got to play hockey,hockey is a really fun sport and it is an Active sport. We just got a new elephant poem and my line was seven little elephants in a sticky fix.
Ms.Newton baked lots of pumpkin seeds I had a great year.
Colorado, it sounds like you are having a great year. We know how much you like meeting new friends. Making friends is easy for you because you are a great kid. We also know how much you like going to the Aquarium, which is why we got the annual membership for you and your sister. We will have more chances to go and hopefully see new things there. Great post and keep up the good work. I will make a suggestion to you though. Try to shorten your sentences by not using so many ‘and’s in them. You are doing very well in your floor hockey on Thursdays. We’re happy to see improvement all the time in your school work and very proud of you.
