What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.

I am having a great year. At our assembly we used our brand new smart board and did an elephant poem. When we play hockey I always have lots and lots of fun.
I like playing guitar and we have learned three cords the cords are D, A7 and G. Also kick the can is so much fun. It is a tradition to play the game every Friday in our class.
In characters we got to make their house.
My Dad is coming to the school for a student led conference.
I have a new friend his name is James he like’s to play hockey, basketball, and soccer.

This year we used lots of mediums like chalk pastels and oil pastels. We have also used water colour pencil crayons and other mediums. We use these mediums for all kinds of fun and cool arts.
I am looking forward to showing my dad my work at the conference! It will be really fun!!!!!!!!!:]
great job Dasha!!, I am really impressed. Great conference.
Wow this year I am having a good year. I am in Ms. Newton’s class again. My
class loves hockey and Ms. Newton is a big fan of the Canucks. We even have to watch games for homework!
This week we have student-led conferences. We get to show our parents our art, math and guitar. I am so excited.
My favourite thing this year is hockey. I love watching games and I have learned that it is 3 hours earlier in Montreal than it is in Vancouver because the earth rotates.
Today I am going to tech my mom and my dad to play the guitar.
This year is going great.
I also enjoy going to the aquarium, the dissected salmon was smelly and gross. 🙁 I also saw that HUGE octopus. There was also a ciaman it was creepy and it wasn’t even moving they even have glowing fish. 🙂
I’m so happy that we went to the aquarium now I can tell my parents about my school year. The Emily Carr arts were all pretty good.
I bet they like the clay pot I made, they’re going to love the elephant art that I made with the chalk pastels. There was a time when we draw some elephants with water pencil crayon. I going to teach my parents how to play the D, G, A7 cords. They might find that a little hard.
A new student came in our class his name is James he’s from London, England.
I want to teach my dad to play kick the can. I want to tell my dad about my field trip, my arts and some of my writings.I hope my dad enjoy the conference. There was also a another field trip to the Burnaby Village Museum I got to the carousel it was fast.
This is going to be a fantastic year!
Hi,fluffy1000
very nice comment,
I wish I was there at the field trip.
I have lots of things that stand out to me. Some of the things that really stood out to me are my assembly, on Halloween when we got to carve our pumpkins, kick the can, going to the pancake breakfast here at our school, and starting WGWT At School. I really enjoyed the assembly because we got to use our brand new smart board which the school PAC Donated to our school and with the smart board we showed 1 lesson about the provinces and territories of Canada. Also in the assembly we did a poem about elephants. I also liked Kick the can because every sunny Friday it is a tradition to play the game ever since last year. With Halloween, I liked carving the pumpkins because once we were all finished, we got the pumpkin seeds and then Ms. Newton baked them and then sprinkled salt on the seeds and then she brought them back to the classroom and the class tried them and everyone liked them. Finally I liked the pancake breakfast because I got an apple shaped pancake.
Other things that stood out to me but not as much are playing the guitar with my class, going on field trips, and at the beginning of the year we did “Sport Fit” activities. I liked paying the guitar because I have been in the class for 2 years so I know the basic chords that we play. G, A7, And D. My favorite song to play is called “The Fox” and I like it because It is kind of funny. I liked going on the field trips because we went to The Burnaby Village Museum, and the Vancouver Aquarium. The Burnaby Museum was fun because we got to ride on the carrasel that went 7.5 Kilometres an hour, And I liked the Aquarium because we got to dissect a salmon. Then the Sport Fit activities were fun because I had lots and lots of fun with my friends.
I have 3 friends and I have lots of fun with them because we play together and have lots of fun together. My Friends names are Jack, Jeremiah, and James. James is from England and he is really nice and kind to people. With Jack, Every Tuesday we go bike riding and help our teacher Ms. Newton around the classroom to help clean up and other things like things like that.
I can’t wait to teach my parents how to play the D chord and show them my characters book. I also am so lucky to have friends to share their time with me.
