What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
I am having a great year. I am thinking of all the things we have done because I get to share them with my parents when they come to school this week. We went on a field trip to the aquarium and I got to see some reptiles like caimans, anocondas and rat snakes.
I have learned how to play the guitar! My favourite song is Down By The Bay. I am getting better at changing chords, I know D, A7 and G/.
Last last week i had a assembly and i had 2 parts in it i got to use the smart board and we also sang a elephant poem .
A new kid came to are school his name is James
Last week i did art with chalk pastels and we usually use different types of medium .
Every time we go to gym we play hockey and on my team i have Roman and Grace , Azzemah and Jereamiah.
We have been writing and learning about elephants and in our characters we even wrote about are characters going on a elephant safari.

This past year has been so great 🙂 Today my parents are coming to a conference It’s called a Student – Led – Conference. That means the I get to tell my parents about all I have done so far at school. My favourite thing about this year was going to the Burnaby Village Musuem for a field trip. My favourite place was the bakery. This was my first time I went in the bakery I got really hungry because there were doughnuts, cakes, and gingerbread houses they all looked so good 🙂 The sad thing was that there were no real samples and the pastries were also fake (but they were all fake so we couldn’t eat them. The first place we went to was the Pony merry-go-round. It was really fun. I am having a great year 🙂
I really liked your conference today. You really amazed me with all the work you do in class. I have to work on my math skills. Keep up the good work! You are a very positive person, always looking for something inspiring.

What love about school is that at gym we play hockey. We all also love the gym kick the can. It’s alot like hide and go seek but you do the same and you kick a can.
We are learning about elephants. We an assembly and we did a poem about about elephants. I still remember my line. My line is One saw a mouse and there were nine. Not very many people laughed but the little kids laughed.
We have a song group in our class. here are five girls. We are the second group. Our song is called It’s A Brand New Day. It’s a beautiful song.
I had a great year and I’m still have it!
I am glad that my daughter Stephanie has a great year I am proud that she is having a great year. I am so glad that I can reply to her post! I hope she can reply to me!
I am having a great year! And right now starting today our parents are coming for student-led conferences. I am excited and these are some of the things I want to show them!
We have learned guitar. I have mastered G to A7 those are the easiest ones for me to switch from although I still sometimes mess up on A7 the wrong strings can make a difference you know!? In the conference I will teach my parents D, A7 and G then they will know how hard it is!
We have also done math. + x and – . I am not very good at x, especially x9 and x itself. Earlier in the year we did borrowing. I am really bad at that when we do it normally or twice then I take away 3 instead of 2 but I am getting better.
I am good at Characters and that is what we have been doing. The writing and art we have done for that is amazing! 🙂 Paragraphs are getting easier as we go along. You also learn about the earth and other things like that! At the beginning we made tiny paper characters and mine is named DC Marsileen.
Throughout the year we have been playing hockey. I enjoy playing in goalie. But when Justin is on the other team it is really hard to block the shots because he is really good at hockey and is never on my team!
Art is one of my favorite subjects. We have done Acrylic mediums,Water colour pencil crayons,Clay,Chalk pastels,and oil pastels. Clay and water colour pencil crayons are my favorites so far.
I hope my conference goes well and I hope yours goes well to only if you have student led conferences that is bye-bye!!!!! 🙂
Well so far our conference is going really well, although you are much better at playing guitar than I am! I really enjoyed listening to you play the song you wrote with your friends and look through your art book. Also DC Marsileen is a really interesting character she is a lot like you!

The year is going by so fast! 🙂 and it has been great. My favourite part of this year was the pancake breakfast, for the pancake breakfast we did the twist to suprise Mr.Higo and we got to watch the polar express. Also I am writing this post because my mom and I are having a student-led conference at school.
Things that have stood out for me this year are the field trip to the vancouver museum & kick the can. My favourite part about the aquaruim was the beluga, also my favourite part about kick the can is when we get to hide from the counter.

This year we have been using different mediums in art like charcoa and we did water colour pencil crayons.
We all so have a new kid his name is James he likes soccer, basketball and hockey. He is from England. We like him too. We are all his friend too he is really good at computer.
