What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
This has been a good week :] Today is pizza day I am so excited.
I am having a cheese pizza. Today Sophia is moving I will miss Sophia:[. She is moving to Bowen island and I hope she has an awesome time there. Yesterday we leaned the rules of chocolate. My favourite rule is if chocolate is on your finger you’re eating it too slow.
This week has been pretty good, because its pizza day today but also one of my best friends Sophia is leaving for Bowen island today after the bell rings 🙁 . I’ve known her since kindergarten!!!!
So let’s just focus on the good stuff now! So on Monday we….. oh, wait there was no school on Monday….. okay so on Tuesday we made kites we cut out the shape of the kite in blue paper!! Then we cut out circles (we traced them from lids from yogurt) then we cut from the outside of the circle to the inside and when you hold the inside bit its like a spring! After that we cut out flowers and clouds and grass etc and glued them on! Then we hung them up! I’m still working on mine though! My friend Arcana’s kite is amazing 🙂 !
Before that we had gym 😛 but then after that we had computers with Mr. Naso 😀 !!!!!!!! Then on Wednesday we had gym yet again but this time with Mr. Naso!!! We played octopus. Its when you have 2-4 octopuses and the rest of the people are fish the octopi yell out “OCTOPUS” and all the fish have to try and run across the gym without getting caught. If you get caught you have to freeze and “turn to seaweed” and when your “seaweed” you can’t run around and you have to try to catch people who are running by! Its really fun!!! Then we played hockey!!! with the nets turned on its front so the net was smaller and we had no goalies!! It was fun too!!
Then on Thursday we did Characters we learned about chocolate we learned that the Aztec Indians used to drink chocolate and that an explorer named Cortes came to Mexico where he brought some chocolate back to Spain and everybody loved it then they made factories that makes the chocolate we eat today!!
Now its Friday and its pizza day I’m so excited for pizza but not for Sophia to leave!! 🙂 🙁

Wow! What a spectacular week! I have so much to tell you! My spring break was great! I went to Seattle for one week. It was fun! On Thursday we had gym. We also had gym on Wednesday and Tuesday. In character we were learning about chocolate which are made out of cacao beans. There were people called the Aztec Indian who made a chocolate drink made out of something called cacao beans. After someone named Cortes came from Spain to Mexico and then he brought cacao beans back to Spain. Then all of Europe discovered the chocolate drink. They loved the chocolate drink. There are some rules to eating chocolate too. Oh…..I almost forgot today is pizza day.Today Sophia is leaving the school. We will miss her when she leaves. It was an awesome week!
Hi, its me Sophia.Y. My computer was not working so I had to take a long time before I could start writing my blog. 😛 O_O Also today Sophia.I is moving to Bowen Island. 🙁
On my spring break i went to the movies and I watched The Croods. My brother won the time play, we won this ticket that go in this box and you might win something in this draw. And a free drink to your popcorn.
Today while i was gluing the card we made for Sophia.I, Ms Macdonald came in and Darren.A greeted her in. And she gave him a green ticket!!! When we came back in our first week back, we made this spring kite I didn`t finish yet. I had a awesome first week. -Sophia.Y
Hi it is me Darren.A. my computer was not working 🙁 I went to Hawaii we went and we were there for two weeks!!! and we went whale watching I think we saw 100 whales that popped up 🙂
I had a fun week!!!
It has been a cool week. On spring break I went to White Rock then to Bellingham, U.S.A . I also went bowling and went to the Lansdowne fair that was built in the parking lot. On Tuesday it was the first day of school after spring break. We had gym and we played hockey. After, we had computers with Mr. Naso.
On Wednesday we made a kite (not a real one) and we cut shapes out of spring colours. I made a rainbow and a sun. I also
made three flowers.
On Thursday we did characters and we learned about what the chocolate’s history was. First, only the Aztec Indians knew how to make a chocolate drink where only the cacao bean trees were. Until then a explorer
from Spain called Cortes sailed to Mexico. The Aztec Indians taught Cortes how to make the chocolate drink and Cortes really
liked the chocolate drink so he brought cacao beans to Spain.
Today it is a Pizza Day. It has been a fun week.
