What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
It’s been a long week even though we had pro D day on Monday. On Wednesday we did art and we underglazed our pots. I would have done two but I was away the day we did the second one.
On Tuesday the painter Mark brought his Parrot and his name is Ajax. He didn’t talk but he squawked he is an African gray Parrot.
We also played kick the can and I got everybody out. Then we went for a run and I didn’t get tired at all.
Hi!! This week was awesome. Monday was a Pro D day and the next day Mark the painter came to our class. I know, I know what would a painter be doing our class? Well he brought a parrot!!!! Isn’t that awesome? His name is Ajax, he was a little shy so he didn’t want to talk.
On Thursday we did gym with Mr. Naso. He made us run one lap and I came in 2nd place. At the end of the day we ran and played kick the can. It was fun!
I also need to tell you about painting the pots we made with clay. We did our slab pots with underglaze colour light blue. After we painted our pinch pot a red colour. Today we are going to paint our pots with clear glaze then we’re going to fire them in a kiln.

It’s been a great week. This week there was a parrot in the classroom, his name was Ajax. We wanted him to talk but he was too shy. We got to see how big his wing was.
In characters we wrote about our pet and my pet’s name is Tyson He is a male he is black white and brown. Miss Ho our substitute took us out for a run, it was very sunny.

I wish I could be with you guys. It sounds like you’re having lots of fun. Noah can you tell Ms. Newton that she is the best teacher ever.

In characters we started My Pet. We did a web to brainstorm ideas for paragraphs. We also made a pet out of construction paper with a pop-out mouth. My pet was a guinea pig. My guinea pig’s name is Christina.
Spelling was super fun this week. Our bonus word was establishment. I learned that the word especially hates me or I hate it. I could not spell especially in the pre test or the real test! (maybe I have finally learned it now?!)
In gym we had a substitute. His name was Mr. Young. We all played Skittles. We also played Dr.Dodge Ball. In gym with Ms.Newton we played hockey.
In guitar we started playing Christmas songs. We played Jingle Bells, Comin’ Down The Chimney, Christmas Time’s A Coming, Old Toy Trains, Up On The House-top, Nuttin’ For Christmas, Rudolph The Red-nosed Reindeer and Silent Night. We also learned C chord.
On Monday some painters started painting our classroom so we had to stay in Ms.Olsen’s classroom. We really liked Ms.Olsen’s classroom, so we decided to stay. I really like our new classroom.
This week we did art. In art we made umbrella people. We made them out of construction paper. It was a lot of fun.
