Playing with my puppy and watching him run with other dogs so happy he just bounces.
Pitched in to help build a deck and met some new neighbours. Great reminder of the community benefits of ‘barnraising’ and how it builds relationships.
And helps bring families together
We had a young man come to the church this morning. At first he walked by as I was standing out front during the first hymn, and he asked about the services. Then he came back about 10 minutes later, locked up his bike and came inside. It turns out, that he has been a few times on a Wednesday night and he told me it was his first time upstairs. I told him that we were resuming in-person services on Wednesday in August, and he was glad to hear that as he told me he does not do anything online. It is for reasons like that and to reach people like him, that we need to have our doors open. His name is Nathan, and he told me he will be back and he’s going to bring a friend.
We have been able to get a ‘new’ boat named Pacific Joy III. We had to sell our last boat because my husband had surgery and he was very anxious about going out on it. I am so grateful that he is feeling better and that we are able to spend time on our boat down on the water, so therapeutic!
Picked some black berries on my way home.
