We invited a high school friend, a life-long-Vancouverite out for lunch to the Po Kong in East Van, a 20 min bike ride from his home. He loved it… It was new territory for him: the restaurant and the food. The last time we sat down together like this was about 35 years ago. It was a wonderful two hours, of reflection and conversation… and looking ahead.

Midnight pickup from airport of a really interesting house guest. He’s a indigenous anthropologist. His whole life has been extraordinary including touring with a heavy metal band when he was a teen. Pickups are such a unique time before the busyness of conferences kick in.
Needed some handprotection for new pedicure… Texted our plumber and he introduced us to his commercial dealer. Ordered them, picked them. Perfect!
