One of the benefits of attending the Belfry Theatre production is meeting some of the interesting people in the audience. This woman was one of them this week. I loved hearing her remarkable story of personal adventure early in her life that was impelled by the music of Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell.
I got in later last night in the rain and didn’t get the garbage and recycling out. When I heard the truck at 7:30 I raced out and the driver said the organics truck had already been by, but that he would phone them and have them pick it up by the end of the day. What TLC!
A local charity whom I’ve supported a number of times, reciprocated and helped cover some of the web costs of ConversationWorks, specifically for our What’s Gone Well Today at School program.
Was able to share some video of a friend, with her son. She’s 95 and is a dear friend who I was grateful to be able to talk with three years after our last visit, after which I lost all contact.
Bus driver who told a passenger sitting behind him that this was her stop. He stopped his bus at the crosswalk and told her how to get where she was going. He waited until she crossed the crosswalk. When I commented on it he said that’s just how you treat people;
Rode past a neighbour I’ve never talked with, raking a lot of leaves off their lawn and bagging them. Asked her if she wanted them. When she said she didn’t, I offered to come back and pick them up. Bonus for compost heap for a friend and me!
