What’s Gone Well Today? ®
Here’s an easy way to recognize others… and in turn change how we look at our day, and our life.
When has someone made your day with the service they’ve given, or something they’ve said or done for you? Sharing these moments may inspire others. They lift the spirit!
On another note asking someone What’s Gone Well Today? ®, becomes life-changing. Conversations have a fresh, inspiring perspective.
In the larger picture our tools help individuals and organizations become more empathetic. We would love to hear from you! Please share an experience that’s gone well in your day.
Last week Loni met a teacher at our neighbourhood garage sale. She teaches grade 2 and would like Loni to come and sing some songs with the children. She went through some of the songs we used to sing when we taught music years ago. She pulled together some wonderful songs.
Locked up my bike near Fernwood, including locking my great pannier to it and went on my way. Came back an hour later to find my keys still in my lock. Protected!
Riding through UVic I heard a strange sound coming from this elder’s bike. Riding beside him I asked him if his tires were low. They were.. and still riding I suggested his going to the campus bike centre. I lead the way and together his tires were inspired and he is seen here going on his way.
We all do better with some support and inspiration. Jim said in his younger years he toured Europe on bikes clocking 1000’s of km. How it’s easier than walking for him. Much easier now that his tires are not flat.
Sam at Google Goggles acknowledged , ” We have different conversations when we’re on the road.”
We established an instant rapport because a friend had recommended the store, a mutual friend who we both really appreciate.
Timetables appeared tight with hopes of a bbq and then early evening movie seemed to be in jeopardy. My wife was still out as 5:00 came and went. I refused to accept and act on the negative emotions and ideas from our guest. I saw this an opportunity to get better at refusing the negative, staying clear, rather than getting muddy and caught up by negative drama.
The change happened before a third person came into the room and they were not aware of any of the negative vibes that just stopped, had no power or presence. and in the process a bbq came together quickly, wasps, which were a buzz a few minutes before, did not interfere, conversations flowed and we got to see a wonderful Cinderella at the IMax.
I saw it as great practice moment. We can save ourselves so much anguish by proactively holding to harmony.
Thank you. This is a beautiful example of the importance of holding our own thoughts to what is beautiful, good, and spiritually true. Our thoughts, everyone’s thoughts, affect our atmosphere. Higher thoughts, those without negativity, are the stronger. Even the wasps responded to your love and went elsewhere. That is amazing. It proves that our experiences are thought-based.
Today I had a fortuitous encounter with Christopher as I was heading into the Root Cellar for groceries. Lately I have been thinking about other avenues of employment outside of teaching, which came up in our talk. As always, Christopher’s insight and perspective helped clarify some things and put my mind at ease, which is exactly what I needed today. Also, he reminded me of flexing my gratitude muscles on WGWT, so this is my first post of many more to come. Thanks!
