I got a text from a friend in Winnipeg who’s mother-in-law passed on. Her husband needed some ideas on what to do for the service. They wanted to look at video we shot at my friend’s father’s. Loved that using my phone I could easily find the link and sent to them, while I was downtown on my bike.
Biked and bused down to a Breakfast mixer. Had some surprising conversations that gave me new insights for some applications of my Milestone Stories.
I phoned a contact someone passed on a week or so again, and mentioned the reference. Hearing the reference the contact suggested bringing someone else into the meeting as well.
Heard a woman share some remarkable stories. Loved her views on the role that recording these can have in helping society. Encouraging to find an open, generous spirit with such a wealth of experience.
Sent a sponsor a web page with their logo on it. They wrote to say that they didn’t like the colour. It was too neon. When I said addressing this problem would be more fun, she thought I was sarcastic. I experimented and found that if I used a png format rather than a jpg the colour was more accurate.
I thanked her for the learning opportunity.. that few people have such a critical eye that pushed me to learn more.
