What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.

Wow, what a fabulous week! Not just the Canucks’ Western Conference win who our class are following faithfully, but we also explored colour…..and……we went to Paris!!!
I am actually going this summer to meet my daughter and son-in-law who will be there after he has completed 3 years at school in Halifax. I couldn’t make it to his convocation ceremony so we decided to celebrate in Paris!! My students begged me to ‘go to Paris’ with their characters so we researched how to get there and what attractions we should ‘see’ when we get there. They are still busy writing about it in their character’s book. It is waaay too much fun!
Also, one of my students is moving to Montreal and it is her last day today. She was part of a song group who wrote a song and practised it all year long. Today at the assembly, they performed it.
What a great week!
WGWT means she will never really be ‘away’ or ‘apart’ from this great group of caring friends.
This week in characters we what to Paris and I went on the Eiffel Tower! It was so cool. I saw some information on the computer like the Eiffel tower was made in 1889 they started to make it in 1887.
This week we won the hockey game the score was 3-2 !!!!!!!!! We are now in the Stanley Cup finals, they start next Wednesday at 5:00. I can’t wait!!
Wow this week has been a fun week. This week we did characters. In our characters we all went to Paris. When they went to Paris they saw the Eiffel Tower and the Arc De Triomph. They have to go to a Red Bus to see the Eiffel and Triomph. We had lots of fun.
This week we also did art. We did painting for art. We got to mix colours like blue, red and yellow. We were having so much fun painting!
It was a Spectacular week! This week was so FUN! We have been learning about colours. We GOT TO play with paint and learn primary and the secondary colours. We learned the primary colours are: yellow, red and blue. And the secondary are:orange, purple and green.
Go Canucks! Third time in history! 17 years in the making. Who is #17 in the Canucks? KESLER! Kesler scored, and the first time in history Canucks win the STANLEY CUP! (kidding)….but….maybe……!!!
Why did the week go by so fast!! There were 4 days of school because we had Monday off. We went to Paris in our characters book it was too much fun!
CANUCKS made it to the FINALS!!! thank you Kesler he tied the game with 13.2 seconds left! and in the 2nd Over time Bieksa scored but it was a weird goal.
We did characters yesterday. They went to…..drum roll please….. PARIS!!! It was so exiting even though I am not quite finished yet it is still exiting! Our Characters got a Red Bus tour we have seen a lot but our absolute FAVOURITE was the Eiffel Tower! Of course we were not actually there we studied and glued in pictures! We even used our computer time to study the architecture, it is all beautiful.
Today we did an assembly. It was not our class’s it was Mrs.Yuen’s class’s assembly. At the very end the song group sang their song, It’s A Brand New Day. I’m in the song group it was pretty nerve-racking. But we did not do a bad job in fact I could do it again if I had to. Then we as a class preformed on guitar This Little Light Of Mine it was WAY TOO MUCH FUN!!
We also played hockey in gym. My team won I think! It was very intense!
Well it is time to go back to class even though we do not want to go the teacher says we have to. This is coming from the class that begs for more work and a school-sleep over that would be a dream come true for all of us! Too bad that if it happens I will be in Montreal! I hope I come back some time though! Bye-Bye for now I will also never stop working!.! 🙂 Bonjour!
