What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
I had a great week. We played kick the can. I have never been it but I might get to be it today. We played it yesterday with Mr.Mackay and it was fun. I had an Awesome week 🙂 !
Another great week gone. We played hockey on Wednesday and I really love playing hockey because when you be goalie you get to save so many shots and get to feel the puck alot. And when your are player you get to run around and get the puck and…..GOAL! Our teacher says that we are getting good at passing to each other.
Also we got to practice our basketball
skills. Some dribbling around the gym and in no time we will be in the NBA, just kidding. After that we did some passes(chest pass, ground pass). When we were finished practicing we played a game. I don’t remember the score but or team think we won.
Yesterday we played kick the can. We have the can sitting somewhere and the person who’s it counts to 20. Everyone finds a good hiding place…..18…19…20…ready your not, here I come! When the person who’s she/he sees someone she/he will have to say 123 on whoever is caught . If she/he sees the person is not looking a the can you can run to the can and ovesly…..KICK THE CAN! The person who kicks the can is it for the next game.

Eek! Zinky Zinky Zoo and poof this week is done! ( if you have ever read three scary stories you will get that joke) But it was and now it’s WHAT IS HAPPENING!!? I seriously think school days are to short it was great though!
Yesterday we played kick the can with Mr.Macay. We played outside with the great warm sunny weather! these are the rules of kick the can : you will need a can and lots of people with places to hide. One person will count to 20 then they look if some one kicks the can then they are it! 🙂
We played hockey. I love to be the goalie even when I let shots in!… when i score I … Well who am I kidding I’ve never scored a goal in my LIFE!
We also did Characters. They went to Vancouver and for that writing we studied about Vancouver and found out some cool facts i will write some down: In 1792 Captain George Vancouver came to the Pacific northwest region in search of the pacific passage, He mapped and surveyed the landscape that is now known as down town Vancouver,that have various british names. Almost as soon as Vancouver was built it caught fire, Stanly Park did not and the people stayed there until the city was re-built and safe.
We did guitar today we played Polly Wolly Doodle , it’s a small world and day-o they were all hard to play especially day-o!
Later today we are going to do a spelling test the words will be hard even though we have studied the words care fully. I hope I get 10+ out of 10+.
At 4 o’clock today i am going to my friend Yogeet’s house for a sleepover. we are going to watch movies play games and eat junk food! It is going to be great!

Oh my gosh! Yesterday we played kick the can because it was a really sunny day. did you know that it helps you get all your anger out ? Well it does! You can also relax.
On Monday we played hockey in the gym. My favorite parts of hockey is the scores, shooting, passing and being the goalie.
Yesterday we did characters but I didn’t finish yesterday I finished it yesterday night. This time characters was about Vancouver because it was Vancouver’s birthday. Guess how old they are. Ok ok ok i’ll tell you. they are ……… 125 years old.When I was working I put my hand up a lot and Ms.Newton loves when kids do that and this characters was kind of hard for me so shes very proud of me! 🙂 That makes me happy!
Want to know something crazy you do ok i’ll tell you. there is a video of a kindergarden class playing ………….. guitar !!! Crazy right! I couldn’t believe my eyes!
When I came back from spring break I felt really happy to be back but I also felt really weird cause usually its only one week but this time it was two weeks s its kind of weird so ya. I got to get going bye bye 🙂
Ms. Newton showed us a video of kids in kindergarten playing a Mexican song.
In characters we were learning about Vancouver’s Birthday. It turned 125. Captain George Vancouver and Simon Fraser were two people who discovered this area, they came by boat.It was a great week.
Is it Friday allready? no no no no no! It cant be! this week we got to play kick the can. to play kick the can you need a can and some friends to play with, first you set the can some where, you can pick the spot where you put the can then you pick a person to be it. While they are counting, the rest of you hide and when your done hiding the person who is it tries to find you. Oh I almost forgot the people who are hiding try to kick the can.
Some other things that we did were characters & watch a video I’ll tell you what the video was about. For characters we wrote about Vancouver’s history. Did you know that in 1886 Vancouver was razed by fire, they built city hall in a tent & put up a sign that said City hall. The video was about little kids they where in kindergarten & they could play the guitar so well, they were playing a cool song I’m not sure what it was but it was still cool.
