What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
Wow! I had such a fantastic term this year! We got to do lots of art, writing, and reading. I had lots of fun because I got to be in Ms. Newton’s class for two years! It is so much fun to be in such a fantastic class for two years.
Some things that stood out for me were sgrafitto, clay, all the field trips that we went on, and the TOC that we got this week. The TOC left Ms. Newton a note for the next day that Ms. Newton arrived. Some of what the note said was “As a new TOC, this class is by far the best class I’ve ever had” and when Ms. Newton read that note from Ms. Friesin it made me feel very good inside. Oh. I forgot to mention that I get my report card today! I am SO excited! Last term I got 4 a’s, and 2 b’s. For the field trips, we went to the Burnaby Village Museum, The Vancouver Aquarium, And the Carousel Theatre on Granville Island. At the thetre, we saw Munscha Mia and I had such a fun time! With clay, we made elephants, pinch pots, and smiles for Operation Smile.
Other things that stood out to me was guitar, novel, and characters. I Like to do characters because I get to write about an imaginary. character that i’ve made up. I Also Like to do novel because I get to answer questions about the chapter and other things like that. I like to play guitar because I get to play the D, A7, and the G Chord.
I Have Had Such An Amazing Term!
This Term was AWESOME 🙂 In this term we did lots of things…… Like Art.
In art we did sgraffito. In sgraffito we drew an elephant, then colored it with oil pastels, then went over it with black acrylic paint, and finally scratch it with a toothpick. All along the whole year we have been making clay pots. My favourite pot was the one we got to glaze and then fire it in the kiln. I had fun playing with clay.
So far all our Field Trips have been outstanding. So far we have been to The Burnaby Village Muesuem ( Which Ms.Newton didn’t come to and we were all sad 🙁 We also went to the Aquarium in Vancouver It’s amazing how every animal lives. Last but not least we went to the Granville Island Theatre. The play we saw was called Munscha Mia. All the stories were written by Robert Munch and then combined into a play.
This week on Tuesday we had a T.O.C. Our T.O.C’S name was Ms.Friesen. We had a lot of fun with Ms.Friesen. After at the end of the she gave us Lollipops. We had a lot of fun with Ms.Friesen.
Today is the last day of school. After this it’s Spring Break! Ohhhhh and also today we are getting our report cards and it’s Pizza Day.
This term has been By Far The Best Term I Have Ever Had! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Wow! Is it true that another term has already gone by? Well I guess its true.
In this term we have been getting home work to watch canucks games. We usually play hockey on Wednesday at the gym. Some times we have questions about the hockey game.
We have done lots of art this term. We have done sgraffito. Doing sgraffito is really fun. We glazed our pinch pot from the first term. We also made smiles out of clay and painted the smiles with red paint and made prints. After that we fired them in the kiln.
On Tuesday we had a TOC. she wrote two pages about what a good class we were. This is what she wrote , This was such a great class. As a new TOC this was by far the best class I have ever had! By the way her name was Ms.Friesen.
In this term it was Ms.Newton`s birthday. She terned 25. I think she looks like shes only 20.
Well this school term is over after today and we get our REPORT CARDS! Also we have pizza lunch today.
I am writing about the term so here is what happend we did sgraffito elephants and here is how you get black paint and paint the hole paper and get a toothpick and draw designs and yu are done.:)
Hi there! Today we are getting our Report Cards! I’m scared and grade fours get letter grades! Well to get Report Cards off my mind I will tell you all about this Term! This term we have done Times Drills we’re even having one today. We did characters (but not this week and I don’t know why) we do it every Thursday. It’s really fun!
We also do Hockey test well it’s not a test when you have to practice. All you pretty much do is watch a hockey game and then the the next day we wright the answer’s then mark the questions. Then you might get tickets. We play hockey too! We love the game hockey it’s too much fun even though we are not aloud to have fun.
We got a sub. She was here for our teacher. She wrote to our teacher this ” This was such a great class. As a new TOC this was by far the the best class I ever HAD!” I guess we all made her feel good of making a new sub!
We went lots of field trips. We went to the Aquarium what I loved the most was the beluga’s, we went to the Carousel Theatre they played Stephanie’s Ponytail 🙂 that’s my name and we went to the Burnaby Village Museum!
I’ve had a great term! 🙂
It’s spring break tomorrow! But we are getting are REPORT CARDS today. My mum says if i don’t get an A she will take a way my I pod fore a week.
This term in gym has been awesome we have played hockey ,basket ball and 9 pin. I think might get an A.
In art we did sgraffito and we played with some clay in clay we made an elephant and some smiles. the smiles were for characters.
