What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
This week went by fast. Michael Mitchell sang songs. We missed recess. We watched elephants painting so we did painting too. We had to use our mouth to paint a picture of a flower. It was fun. The next day we watched the video again and this time we did it with our hands using crayons. We drew an elephant holding a flower. I think this was a fast week but it was really fun!
Ok! This post is going to be short, but cool. I know you are wondering why this post is going to be short…..well, that because something, someone was here! ( drum rolls please) the great, the amazing Michael Mitchell!!! When the classes were called down to the assembly, Michael Mitchell was there waiting to sing a song. We were excited! I don’t remember what song he sang first but I got the tune in my head. Well that’s all I have time to say….oh wait! I forgot! Our teacher showed us this video about elephants painting, I was amazed how much control he has with his trunk, it has been going on since 1995 and I can’t believe I haven’t even noticed it until now. WOW! You can already get the picture in your head. I’m supruised the elephant drew a better picture then I did!
What a video! You guys have such an inspiring class.. where teachers, musicians and elephants show you what it means to be creative.
I just met Michael Mitchel and I got to see him perform. I had fun watching him sing the songs we know like the Black Fly Song. My favorite song was Land of the Silver Birch. My favourite part of the song was the chorus of the song because we practised singing it.
This post is going to be short because we just saw Michael Mitchell and he sang a few songs to the whole school and I got his autoghraph I was so happy! 🙂 🙂
Did you know that elephants can paint? Well they can. Crazy right?! We watched a video about an elephant that was painting an elephant holding a flower. It was amazing!
We just saw and met Michael Mitchell!!! But we don’t have much time so our post has to be short=(. He sang lots of songs about Canada. My favourite song he sang was the Black Fly Song. My favourite song he sang about Canada was This Land Is Your Land and I’ve Got Canada In My Pocket. We even got to sing it with our guitars and Michael Mitchell sang with us!!
We also drew an elephant with crayons while we were watching an elephant PAINT AN ELEPHANT!!! Mine turned out bad but the elephant’s turned out great. AWE!!!!!!! I had an AWESOME WEEK!!
I had a great week ! Today our class got to meet Michael Mitchell. We also got to see an Elephant paint!! In characters we wrote about an organization that helps elephants. The organization is called AEACP.
When we saw an Elephant painting we were all shocked! I would love to go to Thailand so I could see it in real life!
