What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
We had a great week. Yesterday we made collages about what we wanted to have and do this year. We learned about green screen and on Wednesday we learned about Book Creator. We drew a beagle and today we finished Shiloh, a wonderful story about a beagle. On Tuesday we made rainbows and on Wednesday some kids saw a rainbow in the sky in the morning!!
Yesterday we learned green screen. Green screen is when you make a play and then you pick a background that is a part of your play. Like how Nabeeha and I are doing The Three Billy Goats Gruff. So I have to pick a background that is about The Three Billy Goats Gruff. Nabeeha signed out the book. On Wednesday a guy named Mr. Loat showed us an app called Book Creator.

Hockey went well when we went to gym and it was a lot of fun and we lost the game but it was still a lot of fun. Rainbows went well for me this week because we made rainbows with paper and Ms. Newton hung them up and all of the rainbows looked very nice and good. Mr.Loat came to our class and taught us some apps and how to use them. One was called Book Creator and there were pages. On the first page we wrote our name and made goofy like in handwriting on the third page we went to safari and we got to get a picture and we saved it and then we went back to Book Creator and we pasted it. Then we made a video about the picture.
We had a great recess. We play hide and go seek with Roy because
it is so fun. had you play hide and go seek? We also read shiloh book.We did spelling test.
My favourite thing about this week is Characters because we did a collage. We used magazines to do our collage. First we looked at the magazines and picked are favourite pictures then we cut them out and Ms Newton give us a piece of paper and we placed our photos. Then we started glueing the pictures. Ms. Newton said to help kids who are not done with their collage. After we let the collage dry and did a word search. On Wednesday we drew a beagle and saw on youtube how to draw a beagle. Then we drew it on our art journal.
I HAD AN AMAZING WEEK!!!!
This week was great. We just got off from Winter break and I really wanted to go back to school. On the first day of term 2 we had a spelling pretest and it was the first time in a long time. For novel we read a book called Shiloh and it is about this boy named Marty, and he finds this dog and he called him Shiloh. But then it was another man’s dog and his name is Judd. Judd doesn’t treat his dogs very well but Marty does. So what Marty tries to do is get Shiloh from Judd. So Marty does 20 hours of work for Judd to get Shiloh. At the end of the book judd and Marty become friends and they lived happily ever after. On Wednesday we drew a beagle and that’s what we did after novel. I had a great week!!!
