What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.

What a room! Today we got to make our rooms for our characters. My character has a 42′ LCD TV, a bathroom, a king sized bed, and a guitar. As well we got to use oil pastels in making a Emily Carr picture. It took a while to do the drawing but it was worth it. We also got to go for a nice run out in the sun! our track is 1/2 a kmh. some people ran 3 and some 4. In gym we got to play hockey because the entire class is reading a novel called Mice At Center Ice. So in the gym the teams were the Rink Rats V.S. the MHL Hockey players.
I Had A Fantastic Week!!
I won my hockey game! We got to play with oil pastels, we learned about Emily Carr and we drew a picture just like hers.
I was at a function last night and I shared with a number of people that my students have been invited to participate in a web-based program that encourages them to focus on what went well this week
Some things stood out:
* the positive energy around brainstorming what went well
* the fun of posting those thoughts for others to see * the power of the internet; acknowledging that kids are so capable and intuitive when using it and that this medium is changing the way we present information
* they love teaching me about it, maybe we could create a class website?
* I am excited about learning something new
* the number of times this week I said “this is fun! are we allowed to have fun at school??!!” the kids all said YES!!
