What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
Last week at Nov 24th, we went on a field trip at the Vancouver Art Gallery. My group was the green group and we got to draw an animal. We got to see First Nations art, masks and copper. We learned new guitar chords on Monday like one way of the full G and full C. We’re doing a Christmas assembly. We’re going to play three songs, Jingle Bells, Old Toy Trains, and Christmas Time’s A Coming. We also watched Peter Pan and we got to draw a character. We also mixed red, blue, yellow they’re called primary colours . If you make red and blue = purple and if you make red and yellow is orange last is if you make yellow and blue is green. Also green, purple and orange are secondary colours.
This week we had art, guitar and computers. It was so fun. We also did a lot of fun stuff. We watched Peter Pan the movie THIS WEEK WAS AWESOME ESPECIALLY GUITAR PLAYING!!!
This week we found out that we are going on a field trip. My favourite subject is art and for art we did painting. We mixed primary colours and we got secondary colours. Red and yellow made orange, yellow and blue made green an red and blue made purple! I had a great week at school.
This week was awesome! On Friday we practiced a song that we are supposed to do for the Christmas assembly that the school is having next Thursday. The songs we are playing are Jingle Bells, Old Toy Trains and Christmas Time’s A Coming. This week we also went to the library to take out some books. When we were at the library the school’s librarian/computer class teacher, Ms. Lau read us a book called “Sam’s Pet Temper”. The book was about a little boy named “Sam” who learns how hard it is to control your temper. In computer class we learned about this awesome thing called “Garage Band”. Garage Band is an app where you can mix sounds together and make a song or rhythm. I made a bongo/static maker rhythm!!!
This week we did guitar and we are practicing for the Christmas show! The songs we are doing are Jingle Bells, Christmas Time’s a Coming and Old Toy Trains. I’m so excited for the Christmas show!! We also did characters called My Achievement. it was a lot of writing! Today we finished watching Peter Pan after we did a math test. I got all of them right yay! We also had a spelling test.
This week was a great week. We did gym, computer and art. We used different kinds of paint brushes and made different kinds of colours, it was fun! We also had a spelling test, our special word was miraculous. We also did guitar, we practiced how to go on stage and how to get our guitars, we also sang three songs. They are Jingle Bells, Christmas time’s a Comin and Old Toy Trains. Today, we also did math. This week we did characters too, it was cool. This week was really good, but I was a little sick, but now I am feeling better, it was still a very good week.
