What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
It has been an exciting week. We had a book fair and we reached our goal so there was a draw and whoever won threw pie at our principal (Mr. Higo’s) and our librarian (Ms. Chan’s) face.
We had Track and Field on Tuesday (finally!). It was fun and Larissa won first place for the 200meter sprints! I had two relays and I was the second and third runner. There was also a concession stand and I was about to buy a freezie but it was all sold out.
On Wednesday we had library and book fair. I already bought a book on Monday so I didn’t want to buy any more books from the book fair.
On Thursday my class and Div. 6 had a field trip to the Gulf Of Georgia Cannery but I couldn’t go because I had a dancing rehearsal.
Today we had an assembly. It was a fun and awesome week!

This week has been so FANTASTIC. We went on a field trip to the Gulf Georgia Cannery. It was so much fun. We learned about why there aren’t many canneries anymore. The leader that was touring us was really nice. She said that there are only two canneries in the province now. She said that nobody really uses canneries anymore. I forgot why they don’t. After that we went on a quest it was fun but very hard. Then we went outside on the grass to eat lunch. I finished eating really quickly. After everyone finished eating some people played soccer or flew a kite. Ms. Newton said that everyone had to find their
groups. When everyone found their groups we went to the beach and tried to find a round smooth rock for father’s day. I can’t wait till my dad comes back home. He is not home because his mom has cancer I’m not sure what kind of cancer though. Anyways after I found a rock. Larissa asked Ms. Newton if we could go in the ocean and just play. She said yes if you can handle it. When Larissa came running back I said WHAT DID SHE SAY! She said yes I took off my shoes so quickly and went right inside the ocean. I loved it in the ocean it was so soothing. After some boats passed there were waves coming right at us I had so much fun. Larissa and Karanpreet fell in the water. This was on Thursday.
We went on a field trip to Minoru where there is a track. In track I was 7th for 400m it was super fun. Then I was 1st in 4×100 Co Ed relay I was so happy that I got first. After I finished everything I went to go buy something. I got a freezie and a cookie. Then I kept going into the line and I ended up getting 6 freezies, that’s a lot.

It has been an awesome week. On Tuesday we had a field trip, we had track at Minoru. I was passing the baton some people were buying freezes and hotdogs even popcorn.
On Thursday we had another field trip at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery, we looked at the fake salmons but some of it looked real. Then we came into the ship we saw this man was in the washroom sitting on the toilet.
Then we went to Gary Point Park for lunch. We went to the beach and we took our shoes off then we went in the water. Some people found some perfect rocks, when we came back we were listening to the music that Mr. Naso was teaching the grade 7s. They did an outside performance.
Hello it is me, Darren S. This week was exciting.
On Tuesday we had track and field. I was only in one event. It was 4×100 co ed relay. I was the last to run and came in 2nd to last place. I also played with my friends at track. Maddy’s mom gave me some $ to buy a freezie.
Yesterday we went on a field trip to the cannery to see how people used to put salmon into cans and how they do it now. We went on a Quest to fill in a blank in someone’s diary. I got to hold the clip board and write on it. :). We looked at the peugh, the fish bins and the fish scale. We also got to watch a movie called Travel Through Time.
This morning we had an assembly by Div 9, my brother’s class. Thank you ;). That’s all for this week see you next week. Bye bye.
This week has been a good week. Track was on Tuesday and I was in two Relays, and I was third place and it was fun.
Yesterday was our field trip and I loved it. First we went to the play park and there was a ride where you sit on a chair and someone pushes you and you spin in circles. Next we went to the Gulf of Georgia cannery and they showed as how they used to have old boats and new boats the old boats had no kitchen, no bedroom, no bathroom and no roof and in the new boats they had a kitchen and a bedroom and a bathroom and a roof. Next for our lunch we went to Gary Point Park and we went to the beach. We had to find at least one rock, it was fun 🙂 .
It has been an awesome week. On Tuesday we had track and field I was in long distance and 4×100 relay when my event got called I was really nervous. When my my race started I went slow but then I went faster and crossed the line and I didn’t know what place I came in. Then it was the 4×100 relay race I was in the 3rd slot and Amarai was in the 2nd slot and he passed the baton and I passed it to Darren A and he ran and crossed the line. We came in second, it was so much fun!
