What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
My week was SUPER week.We were having so much fun. It’s our first week of school!
We were learning about mice. A cool fact is mouse means ”thief”. Maddy brought her hamster to the school, it was cute! It’s name is Tiny. Mice and humans are mammals.The mouse’s teeth always grows.
In characters we made an amazing title, Dream, Plan, Do, in 2013 It Can Come True! We even made a collage.
What a great start!
It has been a super week! On my winter break I had a lot of fun. I went swimming and bowling. I was going to go skating but my mom said it would be to busy. For Christmas i got a stuffed monkey in my stocking. I named it Cocoa. I also got a stuffed frog and named it Froggy. I was one of the best Christmas I had.
My class is starting to learn about mice. We made a title page for our All About Mice book. On Thursday afternoon, we read our page that has a couple of facts of mice. We know about the colours, the kinds of mice, mouse means thief, they are mammals and they’re rodents.
On Thursday we did Characters. We made a collage. We got to cut pictures of pretty things from magazines. Then we wrote about things our character well do for the new year. We call it Dream Plan Do, In 2013 It Can Come True. It was a lot of fun.
On art day we made going with the flow. It’s called sgraffito. We drew lines that curve and go off the pages. Then we colour it in with oil pastels. Last you outline it with black pastel. I was so much fun.
In guitar we learned new songs. one was the Report Song. guitar is always fun with Ms. Newton.
Today I was playing with Priya and Larissa.
This start of the new year has been awesome!

Ok, I will now start talking about my week.
This week one of my favourite things we did was Characters! In Characters the title was “Dream,Plan,Do in 2013 it can come true”. The paragraphs were be, do, have, grateful and help others. My first paragraph got into the Kingswood newsletter! 😀 I was really excited when I got told that. Here is what it said:
This year I am going to be cheerful, imaginative, authentic and happy. I hope that I can give more then receive, to be brave enough and have courage for what’s right. I want to just be happy and have positive energy, so I and anybody else can share the joy in 2013.
That was the paragraph that got in the newsletter!
Also this week we did sgraffito! the title for this was called “go with the flow”. How we made it was by tacking a piece of paper, drawing swiggly lines then coulor them in with oil pastels and black outline. There’s more, but that’s all we got to this week. 🙂
This week we got a new notebook! we are studying mice and the title is called “all about mice” We don’t have alot of things in it yet but we have some. A few interesting facts we learned are: Mouse means thief, Mice are mammals, and have chisel like teeth used for gnawing. That was what we learned so far.
GYM!!! in gym we did one of my favourites……….. GYMNASTICS!!!! well we actually had stations but gymnastics was one of them. We got to do headstands and dive rolls. it was soo fun! Some other stations we did were hockey, lacrosse scooters/basketball. It was all really fun 😀
Something that also happend was that maddy brought in her adorable hamster tiny! Tiny was brown and I got to pet her! She was also the colour brown. Such a cute hamster!!! 😀
Now, this next thing didn’t happen at school but id like to right about it. I love gymnastics, I just do. And I go to gymnastic lessons every Wednesday at delta gymnastics! So this time in gymnastics I got to go in the foam pit and on the trampoline. The trampoline isn’t a normal trampoline though… it goes WAY higher up. And the foam pit is huge. We also got to climb up a wall and do flips, go on the uneven bars and do kicks, cartwheels and summersaults on the balance beam! It was awesome!
Now computers, In computers me and Gracy made a fantasy comic. It was an assignment from Mr. Naso. Gracy is a princess and I am a fairy.
It has been a great start to the new year! 😀
Hi! I`m back from winter break. 😀 Isn`t it wonderful to come back to school? We did lots of wonderful things this week like when Maddy brought in her cute, little hamster, TINY! She is super adorable, super cute and super tiny! Oh! I almost forgot. We are starting to learn a new subject, ALL ABOUT MICE! 😀 We learned a lot about mice like mouse means ” thief “. Also yesterday we did characters. In characters we did a few paragraphs about dream, plan do in 2013 it will come true. Even when it was characters time, we did a collage for characters. We even did sgraffito,which I like to call go with the flow 😛 ( made by Ms. Newton ). In gym we played European handball 🙂 Here is one of the rules, you can only take 3 steps then you have to pass it to your teammates. On my break, I mostly relaxed but I still had a little fun, and remember I only said A LITTLE! It was the best first week of school!

This week has been an awesome week 🙂 . We learned about mice and we learned that mice can be different colours like grey, brown, black…. and mouse means “thief”. We also learned that we are mammals.
Maddy brought her pet hamstar to the school and her name is Tiny. She is very cute and her fur is soft .
We did random lines but the rule was the lines have to go off the page it was fun:)
It has been a fun-mazing week! Today we got a book that had new songs. Yesterday we played European handball at gym. In Characters we did DREAM PLAN DO IN 2013 IT CAN COME TRUE. We made a collage. We cut out pictures of the things that we like from magazines. What a grate NEW YEAR
