What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
I have had a good term. We have done a lot of fun things like characters, novel, art, and guitar. In characters we all have a little paper person. My favourite thing that we did was my pet.
In novel we are reading Mice At Centre Ice it’s about mice who play hockey against rats!! We also do writing activities about them, it’s fun. My favourite writing assignment was doing poetry.
Now in art we do a lot of art. I LOVE clay and I was so lucky to get an awesome teacher Ms. Newton because she loves clay and art too. My favourite was making clay mice. I also loved painting with acrylic paint.
In guitar we are learning Old Toy Trains, Jingle Bells and Christmas Times A Coming for our concert, it was this morning. My favourite song was Christmas Times A Coming. 😉 🙂 😛 😀

This is my first post on here so I am just getting acquainted with the site. I would like to thank Maninder, Darren S, and Sophia Y for helping me get started. You are such good little Techies!
I have really enjoyed spending time in the Gym with Div 5 because everyone works super hard and is mindful of practicing good sportsmanship.
We discovered a cool Music-related site called “Isle of Tune” last week where you can create a tune by also building a virtual town! Google It!

This term I have been taught many things.( also this is Sophia I ). I have been taught guitar which I am realy happy about. In guitar at first I wasn’t really happy. I thought I wasn’t good like other people in my class and that I forgot cords. But then I kept getting better I even learned a new chord! It is the A and G7. Hazen my mom’s boyfriend taught me some kind of really cool thing with the strings too! So right now I got my confidence back and I’m working on singing lounder. Guitar is certainly getting better, every time 🙂
In Characters my favourite page is my pet, Bubble. I like writing about my pet best because I really like animals, especially cute little otters. Also we are learning to write in paragraphs and have at least three sentences in it. Before Ms.Newton would just give us sheets with blanks and we would have to fill in the blanks.
In novel we are reading is an amazing book about mice playing hockey. It is called Mice At Centre Ice. When we do this, we first read it by ourselves, then do a task and then we read it together in a group. Mice At Centre Ice takes place in the Montreal Forum and the main characters are Benny the Bullet, Figaro the Flyer and Peppy La Pierre. They play hockey against the rink rats.
When we do art we always have fun. So far we did CLAY, print making and using acrylic paint and we are using the prints to make Christmas cards. Art is one of my favourite subjects.
A different kind of novel, that is the name of this paragraph. I’m talking about the novel we read in silent reading only, there’s one problem, I don’t READ a novel, I WRITE a novel. The novel I am writing is called AirFlip, and I think its pretty good. The main character is Rebecca,and the setting is in a small neighbourhood. My story is about a girl who loses her confidence in gymnastics. But then when she tries to regain her confidence something terrible happens and she is forced to never do gymnastics again. What do you think?? Too much drama? Tell me what you think in a reply!
I learned to help others in this school, not just for me but for them too. Me and my friends Dasha, Grace, Valentina and Emma are called the free spirit crew. We dance, Dasha and Grace are our choreography coaches and Valentina, Emma and I are the dancers. The first time we performed live was at a school picnic, we did a dance to the song “addicted” it was a slow song with abit of wrapping. It was fun because we got to meet up every day after school to practise, and make posters. After that our principal Mr.Higo said he’d like to tape us dancing. So we started practising a lyrical dance called Black Star. This song mostly has piano and a tiny bit of words. We practised for a while. When we were ready, my teacher Ms.Newton and Mr.Higo came down to tape us. Soon later I got the news that they would be showing it at an assembly! And some time near the spring we could do it live for our school on a stage! All this news was exciting but we went through some challenges too, Emma didn’t quite get the choreography and quit three times before deciding she wanted to stay for real. And with the time limit, there was a time when we didn’t know if the free spirit crew could stay together. But we got over it and just danced. I like the feeling when you work soo hard and when you finish it turns out spectacular. Ecpecially if you have friends to share your happines with!! 😀

Hi it’s Darren A. This week has been an okay week. I`m so nervous we get our report card. I`m nervous because it is my first letter grades so I am concerned what I will get on it. 🙂 I hope you had a great, cool, amazing, terrific, and fun week! :).
On Thursday we had a substitute his name was Mr.C. He was a ref for basketball. In PE we did 4 in 30 I loved it, it was so much fun but you don`t get any breaks. but at the end we just did it for fun.
Hello. It is Shivneel I am posting another reply.This week was very fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We made clay stars and trees we used toothpicks to carve on them it was really fun. We sang Christmas songs with the pod we sang Christmas times a coming, Old toy trains, On Christmas morning, Nutting for Christmas, Jingle Bells, Up on the house top and Silver bells.
In characters we did a little Santa and we glued it in our characters book and we also did a big Santa. We had a T.O.C we played hockey and I scored a goal after we did 4 in 30 there are 4 lines so you have to run to 1 line and another and if you don’t make it in under 30 seconds.
You have to do it again and our T.O.C said he was a referee for basketball at recess I played soccer with my friends the score was 5-3. After we did some printing we did the months and days we had to do it 3 times. We did facts about the Earth’s Axis and the water cycle.:P 😀 🙂
This has been a cool week. In our spelling test I got 10+. Today I will put up my Christmas tree and I have red and green lights on my tree. At recess I splashed with my friends. I felt really good about this week.
