What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
I had a great week. On Thursday we had gym with Mr. Naso we played soccer. The first game we beat Jets team 2 – 1 and in the same game I got kicked in the shin and after we played against Nathans team and won. We started learning about Rick Hansen in characters it was great. Rick has raised $25 million dollars for spinal cord research.

this week was great! we got to do characters and we were studing on rick hanson. we also got to go to gym.rick made a difrents.
I had a long week. In gym we played soccer and skittles. I like skittles.
Yesterday we did Characters and we learned about Rick Hansen. Rick was a close friend with Terry Fox and he invited him to play wheelchair basketball. Rick is making a difference by making people aware of how hard it is to get around in a wheelchair and by raising money for spinal cord research.
On Wednesday we be to the library and I took out a book and I finished it the same day because I couldn’t stop reading it.
I had a great week. We had Victoria day on Monday. I didn’t do umm…. anything on that day.
Did you know that Rick Hansen got hurt when he was 15? He was going fishing, sitting in the back of the truck. the truck went off the road and Rick got thrown off the truck. then he got a spinal cord injury. He got paralyzed from waist below. BYE!!
Hi, it’s me Sophia. I had a really busy week since school is coming to an end.But it was also an SPECTACULAR week! we gave money to cupcakes so we could get some Anju and I brought one dollar for are cupcakes. But right before they came to collect it something terrible happened! I accidentally dropped my money and all I could find was 70 cents! But my friends still wanted me to go up and I did but then I went right back down after I told them what happened. Then they came in again and talked to Ms. Newton. Luckily, she gave me the thirty cents I needed. And I was really really happy. So I got cupcakes. And Anju was also really happy. So YAY every one was happy.
Wanna hear about gym? We played skittles in gym it was sorta fun. I got out alot. After skittles we played two little games of soccer. Not alot in gym
In character are title was Rick Hansen. And how he did one of the most amazing thing- wheel around the world. I learned that Rick Hansen got poisenings, sickned And he got infections. In caracters my character Bella Rose whants to run a marathon but doesent fell inspired so she donates a whole bunch of money and then gets to meet Rick Hansen. We also had to colour a statue of Rick and him beside the ifel tower. Rick Hansen was close friends with Terry Fox. And he loved being active. Like us!!
Today we did math im not the best at math so my best friend Anju sortof tuters me. But its kinda fun cause shes my bestfriend. One day when Yogeet was gone my other best friend Emily got to do math with us before I use to be against math. But now its kinda fun. Sinse I know im better and I get to do it with my best friends!!!. I really hope I can get better at my math.

Hi this is me Anju. I had a awesome week. I would like to tell you about my week.
It was a pretty busy week but I loved the week A lot. When I heard the anouncement of cupcakes I thought of buying one. Towa my brother said he wanted 3 cupcakes but he decided to buy 2. Oh and did you know that the cupcakes are just 1 dollar!? I don’t know if it would be yummy because I never had bought the cupcakes in Kingswood. Sophia droped her money from her planner so when she counted her money she only had 70cents. She needed 30 cents to buy a cupcake. So then whaen the people who colected the cupcake money told Ms. Newton and Sophia borrowed pennies from Ms. Newton. Oh.I was glad Sophia could still buy a cupcake.
Now I’m going to tell you about what I did in gym with Mr . Naso. We played skittles. But I wasn’t good at it that much so my pin got knocked over time when I just joined. We played soccer too. But my team was losing.
In characters we wrote about Rick Hansen. We wrote about how he got on a wheelchair, how his life was, how his life was after and how we met him. Well of course we didn’t meet him our characters did. We glued on two pictures of Rick Hansen after we were done the writing in our books.I forgot to tell you about the computers. We searched about Rick Hansen and then did all of this. I also want to tell you one thing about Rick Hansen. He met Terry Fox in U.B.C and ofered to play wheelchair basket ball. Isn’t that cool!I never knew of Rick Hansen meeting Terry Fox at U.B.C. It’s like a person who everybody knows meets a person who everybody knows. WOW!
