What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.

Hi this is Sophia. We played with clay and we got leaves and made a print on the clay. Then we cut the leaf print out with x-acto knives. Plus today is pizza day. I’m so happy. And our pod is being painted so we can’t use the coat room. We have to put our backpacks in the hall. I had a super fun week!!!
A truly remarkable week! Starting with Hallowe’en, it was fun to see the creative energy that the students put into their costumes! We played Bingo and we shared a fun smartboard picture that we got to touch to see a spooky house and a cute little monster:)
The Art Gallery was a treat. It is always so special to see such beautiful images on the walls, we were particularly impressed with the Group of Seven.
A highlight for me for sure was when my daughter came to share some of her experiences in Morocco. She went there to help children with cleft lips and palates and she truly made a difference when she shared it with the class, they were so attentive! Thank you Dana!
The next day in character we researched where in the world we live. I picked Hollywood (it’s were the movie stars live in!). If you ever get to go there, right in front of the Chinese theatre there are cement things that they put their hands and feet in, it’s really cool.
On to Friday In centres for the first time ever we did beautiful junk! It’s where you glue random stuff on a black piece of paper, it was really fun! The next center we went to was Lego. A great week!
Well… Um… Okay let’s start writing… THINK BRAIN THINK!! Okay got it! This week we did characters and we helped our character to pick a place to live. I picked Cordoba. The city of Cordoba is in the country of Argentina on the continent of South America. The hardest thing there is the numbers to dial for the police, I might tell you about it in my next post.
We went to the ART GALLERY! We saw only TWO Emily Carr pictures! The art gallery is 100 years old and it used to be a jail! On the top floor they had a work shop where we painted our buddy’s face. My buddy was Roman.
I have to go! BYE!
