[My husband] is carrying around the cards you gave him and having adventures daily with them.
It is making him even more fun to talk to.
Yes in a grocery story line-up.
I asked two of the folks if they’d allow me to ask my question of the day.. and they agreed.
They responded with good examples.. Turned out that the university student had been choreographed by my daughter in a theatre company in another town in 2001.. Now behind us was a woman who looked pretty downcast. I asked her if she’d agree to being asked.. She went alontg with it
She answered.. “I’m still looking for it ”
We talked more .. She mentioned her big responsibility was taking care of her very sick husband..
She asked me if I was here in an official capacity , or just loitering. I asked if it looked like I was dressed for ‘official capacities.’
We chatted a bit more about WGWT.. and how low the bar could be. She asked me if I knew anything about medicine. I thought about that for a bit.. and then said, It’s healing to feel loved.
I mentioned the WGWT web site where she could find over a 1000 examples of WGWT ( including our schools’ project).
We ended up with laughter, many smiles and verbal jabs from her.
She said she may go on this site and write about this really annoying guy in the line up.
We laughed some more.. and I said, ” Your face is transformed when you smile.”
A few years ago I sat down with a friend’s son and recorded some of his stories. He was a great story teller The family had recorded some of his stories before, but an airline had lost them. He recently passed on and now these video interviews are the only record. We were able to compile what people shared at his service, along with the videos and put them on a web site. One of his granddaughters wrote, “this was the best gift we ever could have received! Thank you! Really enjoying this!”
Biking through UVic I helped two people looking for directions… and got this story from this fellow rehearsing a musical we’re going to in early August
