This is part of what was posted in our WGWT at School blog: ‘ I loved learning! I was fortunate to be invited to participate in this blog and in the process I learned how to add images, set up a youtube account, post videos and to ask for help from my students, they were amazing! The process of reviewing each week, reflecting on what went well and posting those comments to share with others, created a strong sense of community in our classroom.’
This learning opportunity for students and teachers was the result of asking five individuals, WGWT at a social gathering back in September. That simple question caught this teacher’s attention.. and great things followed.
Panning for Gold.. curiosity and wonder help us uncover new possibilities. Actually, there’s a story in front of us when we see anyone.. and we may act on just a few. Here’s one from today. ConversationWorks describes our process as ‘the beginning of a new conversation.’ That is truly the case with Rob.

We also talked about how engaging others with these tools would give musicians an effective way to share their stories around music, to promote themselves. Feeling comfortable with direct self promotion is a challenge for many people.
The conversation after dinner was wide ranging and pithy. They asked interesting and heartfelt questions… taking advantage of the range of experience and perspective in the room. One girl, an aspiring Olympic athlete, arrived after the movie and quietly added her valuable insight to the dinner discussion. Another woman decided to join us for dinner.. changing her plans at the last minute.
That segment of the day ended with my biking up a local ‘mountain’ for a wonderful view of the area. More conversation / reflection from the evening carried on from a phone call.
On my trip to Google I ran into many stories. Here’s one that was shared just after she stepped out of a stretch limo.. a trip that started in Eastern Europe:A trip to Google… that went smoothly, in every respect.. I heard today that the tour and interviews went very well too
