A few weeks ago I gave a student living next door 4 nasturtium seeds. She reported today they are growing. Such care and vitality
I came back to the ferry terminal parking lot at 11:15 pm to find I’d left my lights on a few days earlier, and my car battery was dead.. A while ago I bought a portable battery booster and it allowed me to quickly start my car.
I’ve used it a number of times earlier with friends and neighbours in need. Priceless!
Spring Session at a community arts event lasted 8 weeks and ended at the beginning of June. The problem was that the young volunteer I was assigned didn’t help me meet the demands of the students. When she skipped the last day, a Fine Arts Leader stepped in to assist. It made a huge difference.
So for the Summer Camp which was for a week at the beginning of July, I asked my boss if I could bring my own volunteer who also wanted to be mentored some, and was in her 40’s. My boss agreed and that worked out well. The kids were amazing and easy to work with.
A tree at the secret beach has an important message for those passing by.
Invited to go on an early morning walk to a friend’s secret beach. The walk was packed with stories of friends coming forward with lots of support for changes in her career. So heartening how people are offering such tangible encouragement, assistance and connections.. including examples of job openings in her field.
The people we met on the beach had such a fresh, friendly vibe!
If an idea is based on Divine Love, apparent obstacles dissolve for it to happen.
I’m grateful for the moment when I trusted that the idea of a family reunion with my 3 siblings would happen.
2 of my siblings were in Ucluelet for a planned holiday and our brother Floris is a fisherman who works on someone else’s boat so he himself could not plan when they would arrive in Ucluelet to offload their fish at “ Ucluelet Harbour Seafoods”. and prepare for the next fishing trip. I had arranged for a day off work just in case.
Texting with Floris on the morning of my day off revealed that he would be there that day but that he didn’t expect to have more time than sharing a hug with us.
I decided to head off to Ucluelet trusting that It would be a perfect visit regardless. When I arrived, everyone was together. We spent about 3 hours together peacefully sharing. Floris gave us a tour of the boat and the ins and outs of fishing and we had tea together in a rented cabin space which felt just perfect.
