A friend’s two Siamese cat’s died. That was a big loss. Recently she found Bella at the SPCA. Bella has agreed to take her on as a student, feeling my friend has a few things to learn.
Here she’s come out from hiding for a little while, for time for her ‘student’.
Boat was 45 mins late leaving this eve .. got some good sunset
It’s a longer story, but yesterday afternoon we got to see Come From Away with an enthusiastic audience and at a special price. Great customer service as I arrived a few minutes late, and a wonderful performance that left me with tears in my eyes.
I loaned an older bike I no longer ride to some friends who were transporting it and somehow lost the quick-release clamp for it’s 20mm though axle. This turned out to be a highly specific component. The fork manufacturer had gone out of business, sizing standards had changed, and my bike shop searched in vain for a replacement. I tried a more mountain bike focussed shop who was friendly and helpful but suggested the only solution was finding a used fork that would fit the older sized wheel and head tube.
Another friend who I wanted to ride with was interested, and handy enough that he thought he might be able to use a CNC machine to make the missing pieces himself. Before he went that route he stopped by a few other bike shops and showed them the parts he was trying to match. Amazingly one of the shops recognized that they had the exact sized pieces in their recycling bin which hadn’t been taken away yet, and the bike is back in service for next to no effort or money.
I love great customer service
I noticed our four month old Twinkly Lights on our Wysteria vine were no longer working.. Upon closer look I found some of the string of lights was broken in a few places. I contacted the company I bought it from and they are going to ship me a new string. So glad I had original sale and shipping documentation.
I needed to refill the string for a weedeater, and took it to my hardware store. I asked for the right string and since I wasn’t familiar with the weedeater, how to refill it. A customer, who’s “in the business” came along and did the process, discovering that it wasn’t in fact empty just tangled in side. It as so thoughtful of him to help.
