My husband and I went up island for a two night getaway, it’s been over two years since we last went away. We stayed close to a lovely river walk trail, it was so interesting, you walk past a small marina, a private airport with small planes and a bird sanctuary right next to it, plus the ocean comes into view and there were lots of beautiful wild flowers. We also visited some lovely beaches. It felt so good to have a change of scenery and to stay in the hub of activity away from our quiet rural area. Vancouver island has so many amazing places to visit!
I held the door for another fellow, and the conversation began again at his bus stop just outside the door.. He’s car-free, works at home at a good job.. and really lives his beliefs about the need for eco-balance. Definitely what I remembered about Kits-life.
My new vehicle was due for its annual oil change and I received a friendly text from the dealership with a tentative date they could perform this work. It was super simple to just type YES in a text message and they organize everything. As I was considering the best date to bring my vehicle in, I accidentally spill my morning coffee, which caused some parts of the display to malfunction. I was expecting a hefty repair bill, but when I brought it in and explained, they worked their magic and found unrelated faults that allowed it to be replaced under a warranty program. Now the vehicle is shiny, detailed, lubricated and fully functional. We will remain lifelong customers of this customer focused dealership.
I recently rejoined a men’s group after a 2 year hiatus due to COVID. It felt good to be surrounded by a community striving towards self improvement. Plus they have a tradition of hugging, which seemed awkward when I first attended 4 years ago, but after self isolation the past +26 months it was comforting.
