I asked her to look for two surprises in her overnight stay in Victoria. She was carefully considering this, and found herself editing as new surprises came up. I look forward to hearing what she chose.
I asked my son how the two days went. He wrote, “Well, life is pass/fail and that was a strong pass.”
My daughter and her friend met when they were three years old at daycare over 40 years ago, they have been very good friends throughout the years. My daughter’s friend and husband never had children so my grandson is like a loved nephew and over the years they have done a lot with him so they have a wonderful relationship, I know my grandson loves being with them. Recently my grandson graduated so I asked him where he was going to live because he has been living part time at either his Mom or Dad’s place, he told me that this couple had a cottage on their property they had inherited a few years ago and that they had offered it to him for a very reasonable rent, this has blessed him as well as his parents. When my husband and I went to see his place and the friend’s husband was there, I could tell how much he and his wife loved and cared for our grandson, I was so touched, I know that it is a blessing for them too!
This made me think about an incident involving this couple that happened about nine years ago when my daughter, grandson and I did a short trip to Disneyland. My grandson was about nine years old and everything revolved around him, we were having a great time but about the third day, I was listening to my grandson talking about spending some money that this couple had given him for the trip and all I heard was I want this, I want, I want, well I just couldn’t listen to that any longer so I said to him that maybe he could think about buying something for this couple to give them and that they had worked really hard to be able to give him that money and he should show some appreciation it. He did get a little teary eyed, but he soon got over it and when we went to the gift shop he started to look for something to buy for this couple and then he was quite excited to have something to give them😊. He learned that it is just as much fun to give as it is to receive!
I had a good time last night
And it is another beautiful day in my island
Such a lovely day to welcome to my friend’s beautiful bride 👰🏻 With my homemade blackberry cake.
Seeing the delight for young children being able to gently pat one of the very patient pups. It looks like it’s a brand new experience for many children.
Today I asked myself, “Who you gonna call?”
I talked with a Samsung tech and he said it was possible but he didn’t have the access needed. I phoned Apple and reached Coltan, a very chipper fellow who didn’t at first know how to do this, but researched and came up with a beautiful solution. So clean!
