Greeted a stranger today in their maternal language and it led to an amazing and inspiring conversation about his family and our neighbourhood. We’ll get together again.
Yesterday I listened to a lecture by Mark Swinney: More Than Meets The Eye.
I enjoyed all he had to say.
I am now seeing evidence in my life of more than meets the eye.
Yesterday I was a goalkeeper ⚽️🥅, cheerleader 📣 , and absolutely a fireball on the field…
Every July 1st there is a boat drive-by with some skiers on the lake, it’s pretty awesome and shows the spirit of Canada Day!
Also while walking on the trail at the McGee creek bridge, there was a flag was hung.
A fellow who retired from marketing with a large telecom firm, is now working with wood. He got a super deal on two of our unneeded teak chairs. He sees this as more rewarding / honest work.
Pleasure to meet and confer with him.
Someone negatively commented on their responsibilities to me. I recalled this phrase “what’s gone well today?” And somehow found my way back to this site for more uplifting instances in the world. A very positive spin on a otherwise drab comment.
Glad ‘What’s Gone Well” came to mind. Time and again it helps shift our gaze. As one new ‘user’ commented ‘if we don’t take notice of these moments, they are stolen or forgotten in our day.’

When people make me sick by their unfair comments, I know they are struggling with their chaos in their mind because of that they annoy others to prove they are OK. However, they reduce my energy and I can’t focusing on my jobs properly.
