I was on my walk. A nice sunny day, and I decided to stretch myself on a longer walk than is my habit.
Last July I had a stroke which left most of my left side numb. I walk with poles. And I’m deaf in my left ear. I tend to seriously concentrate on my path .
Focusing and all, I got going a bit too far. I became exhausted and was looking for a place to sit down.
Then suddenly there was the beautiful sound of a saxophone.
But where?? Some car radio?
Looking over at the University,, on a grassy stretch, stood a student. He had his sax, and I imagine was enjoying the space
to just let loose. He was playing to his heart’s content. 💕. I felt completely revitalized 🎶 When done his piece, he gathered up his stuff and headed out. Not noticing his audience , but I was so thrilled, refreshed and happy.
Thank you so much. Joan
What a beautiful moment you had here. I’ve run into this on campus as well. Such a gift, so lovingly shared with the universe.
Thanks for sharing this with us.
A beautiful way to engage with a new friend. Loved her being available, at the babe’s level.. and supporting next steps.
While talking to my brother on the phone about his teaching career, he shared this accolade that I had never heard before about a moment that took place 50 years earlier.
Another dog-walker was on the same forest trail as my dog and me. She stopped to chat and remarked that my dog, an Australian LabraDoodle 11 months of age, was SO cute. A pleasant experience which did my heart good, and my puppy and I carried on for a refreshing walk on off-leash trails. A majestic Douglas Fir or Yellow Cedar gives me a profound feeling of awe, so much so that I set aside my own petty troubles.
