I’m still rejoicing over a hymn sung at church (on Zoom) this morning. The phrase about no longer being considered strangers or guests but- like a child – at home, still resonates. It reminds me that the Victoria Native Friendship Centre, which will inherit my home on Gonzales Hill will ensure that a sense of family and welcome to the land will prevail.
We went for a gorgeous walk by the beach.
Talking to a help desk tech at Apple, he asked me for my email address. “WhatsGoneWell@gmail.com”. After a few minutes while he was waiting for my computer to process something, I brought up that phrase. He said that when he just heard that phrase, he paused, smiled and felt differently.. I discussed why I had created it, and how he could use it throughout his day.
Going through the Immigration process during this pandemic took everything to be 3x as long as it normally is !!!!
Finally, I am a free man! I received my PR Card
