We took a number of items yesterday to the Friendly Octopus at Broadmead United Church. We found that they are no longer accepting donations currently.I posted them on Victoria Free Cycle and got immediate response for 5 of the items in 12 hours. It’s always a bit of a dance to get people to come asap, and actually show up.
I was not satisfied with the accuracy of the stats on my blog. I researched and found the necessary coding changes. They even supplied the plugin that I was able to upload, expand and install. It works beautifully. So appreciated the accessible support.
A friend in his 90’s who has really seen a life-saving turnaround in his spirit ( and met a new friend), told me ,”In many ways you’ve brought me the luck.Your attitude towards life is infectious.”

This moment, coming out to sweep the upper balcony, I found myself face to face with a raccoon, who clearly owns the place. Our vegetable gardening is on such a tiny scale, it is hardly our sustenance for summer 2020. Yet somehow having enough extra raspberries to freeze in boxes for the winter, bringing in a big salad every single day, and now the peas and the fava beans providing nourishing delight, and the little green tomatoes whispering “Believe that tomorrow will come”, these guide my day.
