Loni has stayed in touch with some of her students from back in the 70’s. Ken and his family was passing through town. Here they were looking at the baby quilt her students from the class Ken was in back in 1979, made. All the students in the class have their signatures on it. Reviewing the signatures brought out many stories from Ken as to their present whereabouts.
Advertised our Clothes Drying Carousel on Freecycle and within a few hours got an interested party. She will put it good use in her efforts to help in cat rescue. Really pleased to be able to help.
Talked to the owner of The Makehouse. They are flourishing despite ‘the circumstances.’ She attended Green Drinks back in 2012 when she first hit town. May have time in the Fall to experience the new GD Zoom. Glad to hear of her successes.
The next morning I decided to start the second bench. I was able to so do it all myself. I remembered how we did some steps last night and used them. When I completed the bench it was not that stable. I found a metal cross brace in our garage that fit perfectly.
Had a a few games of Codenames over Zoom with another couple who had never played it. Worked well. Followed by more interesting conversation about their involvement with a Waldorf School in California.
Visited a new friend and her husband in their home of 11 months in Cook St. They bought this California bungalow from an older couple who put so much love into the home. The former owner has visited them a few times and been available to answer questions. He even left them frozen fruit from the previous year’s garden. What a beautiful, gracious succession.
