So important to learn who to turn to, and who to avoid.
An acquaintance (friend of a friend I met a few times) from years ago sent me an email out of the blue, sharing something that had reminded her of me in passing. I was so touched she took the time to drop me a line! How often do I think of an old friend (or acquaintance!) who I barely know anymore, having drifted apart from them through simple lack of contact? Answer: often, and without it leading to any following effort on my part to update our relationship. This short, out-of-the-blue email was a treat on the one hand and a call to action on the other, reminding me of how many other people’s days I could be brightening with a simple hello.
I hope you try this a few times and let us know how it went.. There WILL be some wonderful What’s Gone Well moments coming from this. It’s done so rarely.
