For 6 years I have opened my door to a wooden deck that I tried so hard to keep clear of evergreen needles and cones and build ups of slime. Two of my brothers just installed artificial grass on the deck and it’s transformed my whole place! I hope the gratitude I feel every time I open my door to it, never grows old. Yay bros!
Paying attention
It was his first time using Construx. I brought a container of it to a preschool class, and he was curious, persistent and patient as he got to know how it worked, and what it could do with it.
He got into the rhythm of working on the project. After each addition, he just put out his hand expecting the next component to come his way.
I’ve been sick in bed the past two days and my boyfriend Jake has been there every step feeding and entertaining me! So grateful for him.
Looking back over this week a moment that stood out for me was receiving a letter from the Kung Fu academy I study at. The letter was to invite me to apply to the black belt program. I’ve been working six months towards this and felt a great sense of accomplishment and joy. I also loved how it was a physical letter!
First of all I want to clarify … the today I am going to refer to is from yesterday. I needed today (time) to process. I felt tired yesterday.
… what’s gone well … in the few conversations I had yesterday … one felt ‘weller’ than the others.
Each had it’s own place regarding reflection and growth. Honesty, with no hold backs is what went authentically well. I thrive to be spontaneous wherever and whenever I can. Yesterday had a bit of a spin for me as I was asked questions that I normally would ask others. In the inquiry that I felt was authentic I felt relaxed to share where my own thoughts were in the moment. And once I got on a roll it felt as natural as a duck to water. To my delight no one laughed at me or made light of what I was ‘feeling’ or made me feel wrong … the simple receptive act of listening made a huge impact on “me being clear to me !” And why my own quests in life are as equally important to me as yours are to you. (Lol i think this might be called bridging the gap) And wiithout the ‘gifts’ that conversation brings to the table I would not have been able to see what I need to see for myself, as well as my beloved ” neighbors”. Were these entirely comfortable exchanges ? No, but regardless necessary ♡
It is true ! “Hi ! … Conversation Changes LIves”
Talking to a new friend I was struck by her sense of affluence. She is so open to opportunity and new ones continue to come her way in many parts of the country.. Her sense of openness with strangers is part of the riches she discovers in the most ordinary situations.
