I have a quiet life–however I did have some company a couple of days ago. Some of my family, including three great grandchildren, ages 3,4,and 8 . I had a bag full of drink containers for recycling, so sent it along home with them , they were excited. It took some discussion,, but they finally agreed they could share the nickels and dimes. It is quiet here most days, so visits like that are a highlight . We did some jigsaw puzzles, played card games and generally decorated the floor with toys. But they always clean up before they leave! I am truly blessed!
Our Block Watch sponsored its first annual ‘Christmas Lightup’ last night. Much preparation. An early effort to get lights etc on our property and in the house. The children who came didn’t know each other and got along so well, were so helpful and joyful. Interesting conversation among neighbours on a level we hadn’t seen in the seven years we’ve lived here.
A fellow responded to a Freecycle request to borrow a cap for Toad in some Speech Arts competitions. He had researched the character and felt his cap would work. He was so thoughtful and charming, that I gave me a ‘You Made My Day Card.’ He said he felt like he should give it back to me be cause we’d been so gracious to him.
I look forward to seeing him again at one of Loni’s speech arts presentations.
Wanted a yellow Charlie Brown golf shirt for a speech arts workshop. Found this one in Thrift Shop for $1. Just the perfect shirt for the student.
Fresh baked bread in the morning is a great way to start the day.
