What’s Gone Well Today? ®
Here’s an easy way to recognize others… and in turn change how we look at our day, and our life.
When has someone made your day with the service they’ve given, or something they’ve said or done for you? Sharing these moments may inspire others. They lift the spirit!
On another note asking someone What’s Gone Well Today? ®, becomes life-changing. Conversations have a fresh, inspiring perspective.
In the larger picture our tools help individuals and organizations become more empathetic. We would love to hear from you! Please share an experience that’s gone well in your day.
Heard from local traffic engineering that they’ve approved changing parking signage to ‘tow away zone’ fronting our strata. My staff contact was so supportive and empathetic. She came to the block and said that when she parked there, she felt unsafe to get out of her car with the narrow clearance with cars parked on both sides of the road
She became a great advocate.
What would you do if the person who was supposed to open the practice space forgot their keys??? While we were waiting for keys to arrive, these two decided why bother to wait, the hallway is just fine. One of the magical things about the #ashtanga #Mysore method- you can roll your mat out anywhere! I love these two.
In response to a text last week, a teacher texted me that his class was going on a trek across Canada in 4 days, but was interested in a Community School Interview Series to help them effectively draw stories from strangers. I texted, talked on the phone and found three interesting people who made the time to be part of this. In the process I met someone I’d only heard great things about before. We came up with this last speaker by a call to a contact on the Saanich police about this opportunity. A very active constable became top of the list.. and he had her phone me. She enthusiastically accepted.
Over a year ago I recorded some remarkable clips of a scientist/ journalist who rented our apartment, talking about her career and life path. I received an email from her from Australia today in which she wrote, ‘It’s good to look at these from time to time, also as a reminder for myself actually…. thanks for putting these together. ‘ To view all 5 of the clips.
A deputy chief constable shared this ‘Officer Moment’ at a workshop. His partner mentioned in the clip loved it as well.
I have a new job!! I retired from teaching so I could help my daughter with her twins and I am busier than ever!! We are having so much fun swimming, walking to the park and swinging on the swings and going to the Library with lots of other moms and kids listening to great stories and learning Nursery Rhymes. I have even had a chance to play my guitar for the girls and they listen for a whole 2 minutes?! They are even learning to love the books their mom and I read to them!
Wonderful. .rewarding employment!
