The excitement of returning as a student to university
This is not a commercial plug.. but an appreciation. Getting ( tech) help in a timely and thoughtful fashion has been key to my developing my tools. Apple Care is amazing in it availability and patience. Recently I solved a framing problem after several conversations with different tech people. The solution was shoot with my iPhone in landscape position. If it was that obvious I would have done it months ago. The learning curve with video and other web-based applications can be daunting. The red-hats at UVic, and the great folks at Apple have been life-changers for me.
My husband and I visited friends in Friday Harbor for the weekend. It usually feels good to get away from daily routines for a couple days, but it’s even better to be welcomed with open arms. And that’s what our friends did for us. One sign of this welcome was delicious food, already prepared – spaghetti sauce, brownies, apple pie, and quiche. Wow! I’m back home now, waiting for house guests of my own — and I thought I should prepare some of that special kind of welcome for them. So far I’ve made apple crisp and 3 quarts of borscht. Hmmm….spaghetti sauce might be nice, as well. I’ll ask for the recipe.
