What’s Gone Well Today? ®
Here’s an easy way to recognize others… and in turn change how we look at our day, and our life.
When has someone made your day with the service they’ve given, or something they’ve said or done for you? Sharing these moments may inspire others. They lift the spirit!
On another note asking someone What’s Gone Well Today? ®, becomes life-changing. Conversations have a fresh, inspiring perspective.
In the larger picture our tools help individuals and organizations become more empathetic. We would love to hear from you! Please share an experience that’s gone well in your day.

Had the rare occurrence that NY Eve was on a Wednesday, the evening when our church has a meeting to share healing experiences members have had. The reading was “Behold I make all things new.” The last musical selection in the postlude was Auld Lang Syne… and then a member lovingly offered everyone some champagne ( special ginger ale) and a piece of his favourite cake, chocolate zucchini cake. There was just enough for everyone in the room to have a small cup and piece.
In planning an anniversary party we thought we’d include some karaoke, using an old laptop dedicated for karaoke, and a video projector we rarely use. We tried it out with a couple the day before the event and ran into a number of glitches. After they left I managed to iron out the problems and at the party everything went flawlessly. We would sing a couple of songs and then let people get back to their conversations.
One friend, who looks a bit like Tevya, sang “If I was a Rich Man” acapella with a performance that rivalled any stage presentation.
One out of town guests wrote,’Your game was a great help for someone like me who would not have talked to as many as I did without it.’
Another guest said, ‘Thanks for inviting us. There are always new and interesting people at your place.’
A neighbour wrote, ‘It was so lovely to watch ( the slide show) again on this New Year’s Eve.’
Thank You both for the lovely evening. It was most enjoyable, lots of fun, music and laughter, and a great meal. Not forgetting the wonderful company of interesting guests.
We just had to send a quick note saying how much we enjoyed the party to celebrate your 40th. It was great seeing you and meeting new people. What a fun ice breaker game that was, Loni.
The highlight of the evening came when Mark sang the number from Fiddler on the Roof. Wow, is he ever talented! He put so much wonderful colour in his voice and had such great poise. Marvellous! What a delightful treat. We also enjoyed seeing Jean Luc run around playing with people. He enjoyed himself so much and made everyone smile.
Part of the party was this slide show
Conversation at Swartz Bay parking lot with a mother of 2 1/2 yr old and 3 month old children. Her 2 1/2 year old is her traveler trainer — always encouraging her to ‘get out there’ and explore.
She was a bit shocked at the loneliness of parenting. We talked about having a tribe. She had just been talking about this yesterday. #travelerinyourowntown can help…as its spirit of adventure and connection can find meaning wherever folks gather.. be it an atm, grocery store or playground… Such moments of connection and meaningful conversation enrich.. and can lead to new doors of opportunity and wonder.
Interesting that the Swartz Bay story on FB was one of the most popular of late.
Wanted to thank a friend for his support in a couple of areas of my life. Thought of giving him gas money for helping schlep two loads in his trailer. Then being Christmas I thought of giving him enough gift certificates for he and his wife to go out for dinner. When I said that it’s often a challenge to think of appropriate gifts for wives, he agreed. An experience is often the best of all.
